New York City's plan to secure its subways with a next-generation surveillance network is getting more expensive by the second, and slipping further and further behind schedule.
A new report by the New York State Comptroller's office reveals that "the cost of the electronic security program has grown from $265 million to $450 million, an increase of $185 million or 70 percent." An August 2008 deadline has been pushed back to December 2009, and further delays may be just ahead.
Shortly after a series of bombings in the London Tube, The Metropolitan Transit Authority, which oversees New York's mass transit systems, signed a contract in 2005 with defense contractor Lockheed Martin to put in thousands of security cameras, electronic tripwires, and digitally-controlled gates into New York's sprawling network of subways. The deal was inked just a few months after MTA chairman Peter Kalikow argued against "wasting money on unproven technology."
Hours after Obama, Bill Clinton rallies supporters for wife Hillary's campaign by Eli Stokols,News2 / January 31, 2008
Although, the former president's speech got off to a rocky start after a front row heckler's yells about 9/11 being an inside job forced Clinton to engage him in a passionate exchange, trying repeatedly to talk about his wife's national security bonafides through interruptions and the rising boos of the crowd. The heckler was eventually removed.
Today January 29, 2008 is the one year anniversary of the passing of one of our founding members Dan Wallace.
Dan will forever live in our hearts and minds and continue being the motivation for everything we do. We will carry on the fight in the memory of Dan; we all love and miss you very much.

Every since coming out to Ground Zero for the very 1st time 4 and ˝ years ago to stand behind a new investigation, I saw an African American man running around ground zero screaming "history don't let it be a mystery."
He was a very open and public person talking to any individual who even would look at him especially any curious young kids. I never knew what to think of this gentlemen but finally talking to him recently I knew his story had to be told.
His name is Harry John Roland and he has been coming out to Ground Zero for nearly everyday since the attacks of 9/11. Harry on 911 not only lost his job inside the South World Trade Center Tower but also his nephew who's body was not found until 2004.
Being tragically affected by 9/11, Harry has been coming out to Ground Zero nearly everyday since the attacks to educate the people about the truth behind that day.
We Are CHANGE pays tribute to the 1st person ever to make a stand for truth and who has been doing it everyday since the day of the tragic events of 911. We pay our respects and we hope you do too.
Harry is well known for his catch phrases which can be heard echoing throughout the WTC complex, especially "History - don't let it be a mystery", and "don't say two - 'cause that's not true!"
So if you visit Ground Zero to pay respect to the fallen or to join other patriotic Americans who stand for truth, remember to keep an eye and an ear out for Harry John Roland.
Rudy expected to drop out, endorse dead horse McCain
Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Tuesday, January 30, 2008
Rudy Giuliani, who is widely tipped to drop out of the Republican race today and endorse John McCain, admitted yesterday that "Ron Paul won all the debates" because of his resonating message of individual liberty and personal responsibility.
"Ron Paul won all the debates," stated Rudy Giuliani in his speech conceding defeat in the Florida Primary to John McCain. "Government works best when it empowers people to take responsibilities for their own lives.?
Such an admission is rare considering the size of Giuliani's ego and his numerous spats with Paul on the campaign trail.
Among the hundreds of proposals contained in Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s second executive budget, which he unveiled on Tuesday in Albany, is a provision that would impose a $3.50-a-gram tax on marijuana and a $200-a-gram tax on other illegal drugs, like cocaine.
We took a look at the fine print to better understand the details of this legislative proposal — which, incidentally, is very similar to a proposal that Mayor Edward I. Koch put forward in 1988. (That proposal, to tax illegal drugs in New York City, also at a rate of $200 a gram, did not come to fruition.)
'America's Mayor' lifted a nation after 9/11 - but this presidential candidate can often seem more Mafia don than statesman, says Toby Harnden
The last time Rudolph William Louis Giuliani III was due to face Hillary Clinton in an election, his campaign ended prematurely amid a month-long public soap opera that included the declaration that "I don't really care about politics right now".
It was the year before the September 11 attacks, and Rudy - as everyone but his mother calls him - was famous for having cleaned up the Big Apple, clamping down on squeegee merchants, jaywalkers, porn shops and petty criminals. He'd thrown Yasser Arafat out of a concert hall and declared war on the Brooklyn Museum of Arts for exhibiting a portrait of the Virgin Mary decorated with elephant dung.
A detailed 1998 New York Police Department analysis opposed the city's plans to locate its emergency command center at the World Trade Center but then-mayor Rudolph Giuliani's administration overrode the objections, The New York Times reported on Saturday.
"Seven World Trade Center is a poor choice for the site of a crucial command center for the top leadership of the City of New York," the Times quoted a panel of police experts aided by the Secret Service as having concluded in a confidential Police Department memorandum which has not been previously disclosed.
The longest of the analysis' nine sections, headed "Explosives," describes a blast analysis of the likely impact of various types of bombs, and concluded that the largest of truck bombs would have led to the building's collapse, the Times report said.
First, let's lay out 5 reasons why nobody should/will vote for Giuliani:
1. His Deadly Judgment: Before 9/11, Giuliani is the person responsible for deciding to locate NYC's emergency command center in the World Trade Center complex along with a diesel fuel tank (against the advice of FDNY officials). The World Trade Center was a known al Qaeda target (the towers were struck in 1993 and al Qaeda publicly promised to return to finish the job). Why would anyone locate an emergency command center in such a dangerous, vulnerable place?
During the 9/11 attacks, because New York City's emergency command center was utterly paralyzed (since it was located in the World Trade Center that was being attacked), the city was unable to properly coordinate emergency response workers like the police and firemen. That inability to coordinate cost many uniformed and civilian lives.
A New York Post column yesterday referred to 9/11 Truth action at Ground Zero as "pure obscenity" as it made a weak effort to call for draconian measures to drive-out "conspiracy-mongers" 'festering' on sacred ground.
The piece is undoubtedly the end result of an NY Post photographer who recently followed around members of WeAreChange.org during one of their weekly street actions outside the remains of the World Trade Center complex.
The Post's Steve Cuozzo makes a sleazy link between a handful of street vendors who apparently sell $10 pictures of the former Twin Towers and the dedicated group that tirelessly fights for a new 9/11 investigation on behalf of the 9/11 victim's family members, as well as the 50,000 rescue workers sick & dying from toxic dust.
While the non-profit WeAreChange.org has never sold anything near ground zero, the NY Post flutters inadvertently between descriptions of the group and claims that "not the flimsiest justification exists for the rowdy, open-air bazaar of illegal junk-peddlers."
The Post vehemently trashes the "Third World flea market" as an "indefensible rupture of civic order," while claiming to defend the right to free speech. Apparently, peaceful demonstrators, along with immigrant vendors are seen as nothing more than riffraff and bleeding 'eyesores' who should be dealt with. Who's xenophobic now?
What's more-- Cuozzo is equally irritated by the 'indifference' and 'tolerance' of NYPD and Port Authority police who, the viciousrag protests, "fail to enforce their own rules." Somehow, Cuozzo's Post column continues to link alleged illegal vending with clearly protected free speech, free assembly and peaceful demonstration-- when there is no link between the individuals whatsoever.
What the Cuozzo really objects to is that groups like WeAreChange.org have not only gotten out their message and made a stand for truth, but that they have won over many of the police officers in the process. It is all but obvious that the NY Post seeks to pressure police authorities to shut down free speech, run off the demonstrators and restore 'order' to the open wound at ground zero.
While this call-to-action is disgusting-- it is perplexing and perhaps hideous to note that the moments of fascism are coming down from the press, not the police.
The Post even decries a banner it reports as having read, "Do Something Because the Government Won't." However, the paper omitted the fact that the same banner also read, "50,000 911 Hero’s Are Dying," a reference to the rescue workers sick and dying from exposure to toxic dust who remain untreated and unaided.
WeAreChange.org has been one of the most prevalent groups demonstrating at Ground Zero. It is made up not only of activists and concerned citizens, but family members of those who died on 9/11 as well as first responders who stand to be forgotten in spite of their service to 9/11 victims.
Despicable and potentially libelous portrayals like that of the New York Post seek to damage efforts to uncover the truth about 9/11-- to seek justice and give closure and comfort to the families and rescue workers left behind in the wake of the 9/11 cover-up.
The Post would apparently rather see free speech stifled and full-bore fascism fully implemented-- with questions about obvious inconsistencies in the government's official story thrown out with the bums that 'sell' them.

PARIS - Pervez Musharraf says he still gets the question a lot: When will Osama bin Laden and his top deputy be caught? The Pakistani president insists it's more important for his 100,000 troops on the Afghan border to root out the Taliban than search for al-Qaida leaders.
That bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahri are still at large "doesn't mean much," the former general said Tuesday on the second day of a swing through Europe. He suggested they are far less a threat to his regime than Taliban-linked militants entrenched in Pakistan's west.
Bin Laden and al-Zawahri are believed to be hiding somewhere in the lawless tribal areas along Afghanistan's frontier with Pakistan.
Popular financial expert questions Bernanke's obsession with wild interest rate cuts, "the man has no idea what he's doing"
Popular financial expert Jim "Mad Money" Kramer has called for the Federal Reserve to be investigated in light of recent wild interest rate cuts, insinuating that the Fed is following a different agenda to the interests of the American people as the economy teeters on the brink of a recession.
"I actually want to call right here for an investigation of what the Fed did. An investigation of the institution, because I think the institution has been behind almost every boom and bust that we've had for many many years. And its really starting to [be the] time to look to see what this institution is all about," Kramer told TheStreet.com in a video report yesterday.

In his usual form, former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter told a packed crowd at the Oriental Theater in Denver to stop whining about corporate media and become their own intelligence operatives. We the people have the same resources and tools that intelligence networks rely heavily on; it’s called “Google” he said.
Increased rates of immune system disorders and other wide-ranging symptoms, including chronic pain, fatigue and memory loss, have been reported in over one quarter of combat veterans of the 1991 Gulf War. Combustion products from depleted uranium munitions are being considered as one of the potential causes by the Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses, as DU was used in tank kinetic energy penetrator and machine-gun bullets on a large scale for the first time in the Gulf War. Veterans of the conflicts in the Gulf, Bosnia and Kosovo have been found to have up to 14 times the usual level of chromosome abnormalities in their genes.
Human epidemiological evidence is consistent with increased risk of birth defects in the offspring of persons exposed to DU.
In early 2004, the UK Pensions Appeal Tribunal Service attributed birth defect claims from a February 1991 Gulf War combat veteran to depleted uranium poisoning. Children of British soldiers who fought in wars in which depleted uranium ammunition was used are at greater risk of suffering genetic diseases such as congenital malformations, commonly called "birth defects," passed on by their fathers.

Families of firefighters killed in the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center rallied in Orlando Tuesday in anticipation of the state's upcoming Republican primary. Unfortunately for Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, the firefighters are not in his corner.
"We want America to know that [the Giuliani campaign] is lying to America and to the American pubic," said Jim Riches, a deputy chief in the New York Fire Department, "telling all of Florida that the New York City Fire Department backs him, when that's another lie."
VIDEO: Protesters March Outside Rudy Giuliani's Orlando Campaign Stop
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani made a campaign stop in downtown Orlando on Monday morning at the presidential ballroom at Church Street, but he wasn't alone. September 11 families and New York firefighters protested outside.
Protestors say Giuliani lied to the public about his 9/11 record and they say they traveled to Orlando because they believe he can't be trusted.Giuliani greeted supporters in downtown Orlando after he was introduced by Orlando native and New York Yankees center fielder Johnny Damon.
According to sources from the Port Authority Police Department, two more body fragments of 9/11 victims were found at Ground Zero this past week.
According to the confidential source information to the finding is being kept secret because of scrutiny regarding rebuilding effort taking place at Ground Zero.
Currently Ground Zero is a huge construction site, where the city plans on building its Freedom Tower. The footage that was shot on Saturday January 19th inside Ground Zero depicts construction workers working overtime on the freedom tower, which is set to be finished in 2012.
What the general public fails to grasp is that Ground Zero is a memorial site for over 3,000 families. Around 45 percent of the victims of 9/11 were never discovered. While unidentified body parts are still being discovered to this day more than 6 years later.
This current situation is attributed to Rudolph Giuliani’s scoop and dump policy which threw away 45 percent of the remaining undiscovered family members into the fresh kills land fill in Staten Island. It was later reported by the AP that the remains were then recycled and used to fill up pot holes in NYC streets.
Rudolph Giuliani implemented his policy after the gold of the Nova Scotia was found at Ground Zero in 2001 on All Saint’s day. After the gold of Nova Scotia was discovered Rudolph kicked firefighters off the pile and implemented the scoop and dump policy. Many firefighters in outrage protested and were even arrested when finding out Giuliani’s decision to scoop and dump their fallen brothers.
Rudolph, who was formally a federal prosecutor, should know something about keeping evidence at a crime scene his actions speak for themselves. While he is using 9/11 as a platform for the presidential election he should think twice about mentioning his actions as mayor.
Manny Badillo lost his uncle Thomas J. Sgroi in the twin towers stated “It was one of the worst, disrespectful things you could possibly do to anyone who lost someone.”
The real important question to ask is if there will be DNA testing done on the newly discovered body fragments or will the city do what they did before and throw the remains into the garbage, recycle them and use them to fill up pot holes?
Massacre of Afghan Children
This is the sad truth of war:
According to this video; 27 children were massacred by the US jets and helicopters/AC130 Gunship in Helmand Afghanistan. The people there were allshocked to see gunners from the airplanes were targeting fleeing children. The elders in the village asked, "Can’t the Americans tell the difference between armed fighters and little children running to safety?" This is the type of "democracy" and "reconstruction" the US and her NATO allies--UK, Canada, Dutch, Australians and others---practice in Afghanistan.
Warning: the images depicted and shown in this video are extremely graphic; minors should not see this video.
Last May, a Saudi Arabian conglomerate bought a Massachusetts plastics maker. In November, a French company established a new factory in Adrian, Mich., adding 189 automotive jobs to an area accustomed to layoffs. In December, a British company bought a New Jersey maker of cough syrup.
For much of the world, the United States is now on sale at discount prices. With credit tight, unemployment growing and worries mounting about a potential recession, American business and government leaders are courting foreign money to keep the economy growing. Foreign investors are buying aggressively, taking advantage of American duress and a weak dollar to snap up what many see as bargains, while making inroads to the world’s largest market.
(CNN) – Rudy Giuliani’s campaign released a new ad in Florida Friday that uses footage and photographs of 9/11 and the ruins of the World Trade Center to emphasize his leadership as New York City mayor.
“When corruption ruled, he challenged it. When welfare failed, he changed it. When crime thrived, he fought it. When government broke, he fixed it,” says the announcer in “It Matters,” over images of criminals in handcuffs and the exteriors of porn shops.
“And when the world wavered, and history hesitated, he never did,” he continues, over images and footage of people running from the site of the Trade Center attacks, and the former New York mayor embracing rescue workers. “Rudy Giuliani. Leadership. When it matters most.”
The campaign said the ad is airing in West Palm Beach, an area that is home to a large population of transplanted New Yorkers. Florida voters head to the polls January 29.
C.H.A.N.G.E. Ohio Confronts Macy's & P&G about RFID
By Cody Deeds
RFID has been a concern of mine for quit some time. I had always thought they would never go through with it, given the privacy violations. Turns out I was wrong and they are going ahead with the technology. I decided a visit to some of these companies to let them know that we know was in order. Both Proctor & Gamble and Macy's corporate headquarters are located in Cincinnati, along with another RFID leader that I didnt have time to get, Johnson & Johnson. I started at Macy's corporate which sent me to the human resources department in a separate building. The interview at Macy's is in the video and the person I spoke with admitted that the technology is being looked at and implemented. I then continued to Proctor & Gamble where I was not met with open arms. I managed to infiltrate the lobby for quite some time before security arrived. Here is the punchline of the whole thing, why is a private security firm responsible for guarding nuclear plants doing with a P&G contract? What else might they have in the works that they are less open about...

NYPD Seeks an Air Monitor Crackdown for New Yorkers
A city councilman and the cops don't want you to have that Geiger counter without their permission
by Chris Thompson
January 15th, 2008 5:13 PM
Damn you, Osama bin Laden! Here's another rotten thing you've done to us: After 9/11, untold thousands of New Yorkers bought machines that detect traces of biological, chemical, and radiological weapons. But a lot of these machines didn't work right, and when they registered false alarms, the police had to spend millions of dollars chasing bad leads and throwing the public into a state of raw panic.
OK, none of that has actually happened. But Richard Falkenrath, the NYPD's deputy commissioner for counterterrorism, knows that it's just a matter of time. That's why he and Mayor Michael Bloomberg have asked the City Council to pass a law requiring anyone who wants to own such detectors to get a permit from the police first. And it's not just devices to detect weaponized anthrax that they want the power to control, but those that detect everything from industrial pollutants to asbestos in shoddy apartments. Want to test for pollution in low-income neighborhoods with high rates of childhood asthma? Gotta ask the cops for permission. Why? So you "will not lead to excessive false alarms and unwarranted anxiety," the first draft of the law states.
Last week, Falkenrath made his case for the new law before the City Council's Public Safety Committee, where Councilman Peter Vallone introduced the bill and chaired the hearing. Dozens of university researchers, public-health professionals, and environmental lawyers sat in the crowd, horrified by the prospect that if this law passes, their work detecting and warning the public about airborne pollutants will become next to impossible. But Falkenrath pressed on, saying that unless the police can determine who gets to look for nasty stuff floating in the air, the city would be paralyzed by fear.
Don't worry in total WeAreCHANGE in 2007 confronted more then 70 high level individuals, with our favorite leading the way Giuliani with a total of 11 confrontations this year from our own WeAreCHANGE chapters. 2008 will be the year of CHANGE, nothing can stop us.
Feds Investigate Myspace including picture's of Luke Rudkowski
The following was obtained from a Freedom of Information Request, regarding the Ed and Elaine case. It details a picture on a myspace account of Ed and Elaine Brown with Luke Rudkowski.
LNU means last name unknown but in most of the documents many known people are also named under LNU. This clearly shows how the government is spying and keeping track of its citizens.
It is sad how the feds have to use myspace pictures as evidence in this modern day informational war.

What makes this documentary, Dust to Dust: the health effects of 9/11, so special is not just the chilling statistics it displays onscreen about the poisonous brew of materials that fell on Ground Zero and the surrounding neighborhoods; what makes this piece so affecting is the heart-rending testimony of the warm-bodied victims of 9/11’s fall-out, now living through a second round of slaughter, sadly their own.
These victims are struggling to stay alive and sane, combating cancers, pulmonary diseases, every conceivable kind of breathing disorder, and the psychic shock of being misled, flat-out lied to by the US and New York City governments as to the risk they were taking continuing to work, returning home or going to school in the area; this whether on the piles, in the surrounding neighborhoods, office buildings or even small businesses, directly and months after the apocalypse occurred.
To make matters worse, the organizations designated to help these people, FEMA, the EPA, Workmen’s Compensation, private insurance companies, municipal health providers, Social Security, Medicare, et. al, present these victims with a daily barrage of obstacles, largely red tape in paying (or avoiding to pay) for medical bills, including medications, surgeries, organ transplants, physical or psychological therapies, plus well-deserved financial benefits to help victims meet living expenses and literally keep a roof over their heads.
The federal, city and corporate blockage by the very people who should be facilitating assistance to these victims compound the inhumanity. The guilty parties range from functionaries in the various federal and city agencies and insurance companies to those who stand at the very helm of this nation. It’s no wonder one female EPA worker says, staring in the face of this conspiracy of red tape and feet-shuffling, "We are the dust of 9/11."
What hitthe victims?
Dust to Dust boldly supers on the screen some of the 2,500 contaminants that erupted from the explosions of the World Trade Center towers, Tower Seven and the two, fuel-laden jetliners, turning into a toxic gray dust that hung in the air as well as settled in people’s lungs and on area streets, vehicles, buildings, residences, both outside and inside the city for months . . .
Over 400 tons of asbestos, which once inhaled in any quantity cannot be expelled by the lungs
90,000 liters of jet fuel containing benzene, a carcinogen that suppresses the immune system and causes leukemia
Mercury from over 500,000 fluorescent lights that is toxic to the nervous system, and damaging especially to the kidneys
200,000 pounds of lead and cadmium from personal computers, toxic to the respiratory track, especially damaging to kidneys
Polycystic aromatic hydrocarbons that cause lung, laryngeal and throat cancers
130,000 gallons of transformer oil with PCBs, causing serious skin rashes and liver damage
Crystalline Silica from 420,000 tons of concrete, sheetrock and glass (tiny particulates that lodge in heart, causing ischemic heart disease)
The mainstream Italian media are reporting both the rigging of the New Hampshire primary for Senator Hillary Clinton and the official demands for a swift, accurate and impartial recount. In an article written by Marcello Foa, one of Europe's most respected journalists, it appears that vote tallies for all Democratic candidates as well as Republicans were reduced by Diebold vote-counting machines.
Echoing the much derided 2003 FBI warning that a good way to spot potential terrorists is to check if they are carrying an almanac, Fox News went beyond the pale this morning in suggesting that Al-Qaeda's most likely acolytes are blonde haired, blue eyed Caucasian westerners with no criminal record.
Fox and Friends' ever ready Neo-Con slug Brian Kilmeade, who in November called on Americans to support terrorist car bombings in Iran, as well as funding for terrorist groups to "create havoc in Iran", interviewed ex-CIA spook Mike Baker, whose company Diligence LLC has close ties to the Bush administration and just happens to butter its bread with the aid of a steady supply of global unrest and terror hype.
The story, which is based on a comment by a single MI5 source (must be true then) that was subsequently picked up in a Scotsman article, claims that Al-Qaeda have recruited 1,500 white Britons to carry out attacks in the UK.
So, as Baker and Kilmeade somehow manage to relate while keeping straight faces, the new breed of jihadists have been identified as white Caucasian westerners with blonde hair, blue eyes, and no criminal record.
PLEASE JOIN FEALGOODFOUNDATION.COM AND WEARECHANGE.ORG ON FEBRUARY 16th IN THEIR MONEY BOMB TO RAISE $1 MILLION FOR FIRST RESPONDERS (WEBSITE COMING SOON)
During the freedom to protest assembly this afternoon, Brian Haw (who was peacefully filming events in whitehall) was violently attacked by a territorial support group policeman who lashed out at him, smashing his camera into his face and causing a deep cut. Police then arrested brian for an unspecified public order offence and further assaulted him in a police van.
Unauthorised demo in London, England, against SOCPA legislation which criminalises freedom of expression and freedom of assembly within a zone around Parliament. This legislation is under review and fears are that it might be extended.
After meeting up in Trafalgar Square it was decided to go for a walk in 'Our streets'. The police were pretty laid back to begin with while several places of interest were visited such as the Home Office, New Sotland Yard, MI5, Parliament Square and Downing Street. They even allowed a sit down in the road for a short while in Parliament Square but then began forcing people back onto the pavement. The walk then proceeded to Downing Street where people sat down just outside the gates, and then lay down in the road. Several people were arrested, including Brian Haw and Steve Jago. The people lying down in the road were dragged back into the crowd outside Downing Street.
David Miller, a first responder suffering from Mesothelioma (related to asbestos exposure) confronted Congressman Dennis Kucinich to demand he do more to represent the dire needs of the some 50,000 rescue workers sick and dying from exposure to toxic air at ground zero.
Kucinich pointed out that he has been part of previous hearings on the subject, but agreed to have a private meeting with the 9/11 Health Advocacy Project, the Feal Good Foundation and WeAreChange.org to address the critical issues related to 9/11 health.
Miller is one among many who struggles with not only his health, but the associated costs of medication and living expenses (while being too sick to work), all without financial assistance from any official agencies, local or federal.
Mayor Bloomberg has since refused to acknowledge that a number of first responders died of ground zero-related illnesses. When former NYPD Detective James Zadroga died, Bloomberg stated that he “was not a hero”-- alleging that Zadroga's death was not due to lung illness but drug abuse. He has since apologized.
The denial of status has been one critical factor preventing the many suffering from receiving any official aid, pensions, medical benefits, or etc. Miller hopes Kucinich will be able to help change that.
In the meantime, the Feal Good Foundation and WeAreChange.org intend to continue assistance efforts on their own. On February 16th, the groups will hold a money bomb in hopes that they can raise $1 million in a one-day benefit.
David Miller's health has drastically worsened since his confrontation with Kucinich-- his cancer has spread from his lungs to his neck and head. The doctors don't give him long to live. Miller has now been hospitalized.
The need for funds for the sick and dying 9/11 First Responders is great since the government denies them disabilities. Many First Responders are left without a choice: the high costs of medication without being able to work has left many first responder families in poverty.
If people can raise and spend millions of dollars on an election campaign, why can't we raise enough to save our heroes-- or at least $1 million towards making their situation a little bit better. The money provided will go to first responders, medical costs and living expenses that are dearly needed as soon as it can be raised.
The 9/11 First Responders gave their lives and well-being for people they didn't even know-- people who could have been you and yours. They did it for our country; why, then, can't we get them the proper medication and treatment they need?
Send a message to the world and show that Americans will take care of their own, while the government sits back and does nothing. After all, it is our duty to stand up for those who boldly took action during our nation's worst attack-- and are now suffering for that courage.
WeAreChange.org is sick of politics and has decided to help the emerging crisis in New York by reaching out to those who most deserve our help.
RIYADH (AFP) - US President George W. Bush began a visit to close ally Saudi Arabia on Monday to rally support from the regional economic and political powerhouse for his campaign to isolate archfoe Iran.
The president's first visit to the kingdom was timed with a likely notification to Congress in Washington of a planned 20-billion-dollar arms deal with Gulf Arab states, with Saudi Arabia taking the lion's share.
Bush, on a tour of the region also aimed at fostering Middle East peace, warned in a keynote speech on Sunday in Abu Dhabi of what he called the threat to the world posed by Iran.
