“I know the people have raised questions about my email use as secretary of state, and I understand why,” Clinton said at a campaign event, reported by The New York Times. “I get it. So here’s what I want the American people to know: My use of personal email was allowed by the State Department.”

“It clearly wasn’t the best choice,” she continued. “I should’ve used two emails: one personal, one for work.”

“I take responsibility for that decision,” she added. ” … I’m confident that this process will prove that I never sent, nor received, any email that was marked classified.”
The admission of responsibility is a marked change from her previous tone on the email scandal. She has tried a number of mostly failed tactics, including laughing it off, playing the victim card and blaming the whole thing on a “vast right-wing conspiracy.”

An FBI probe into the matter has found emails with classified information from the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
