A female supporter of President Donald Trump had her hair lit on fire by protesters who were ironically chanting “love trumps hate” shortly after the inauguration in Washington on Friday.
The shocking assault was caught on video and uploaded to YouTube.
Luckily, the fire was quickly extinguished, and several of the anti-Trump protesters did immediately speak out on the woman’s behalf. It goes to show that there are actually some decent people on both sides.
Despite most of the protest organizers symbolically calling for “peaceful” protest, multiple people were assaulted simply for wearing their support for our president in the days surrounding the inauguration — including women.
Those out protesting Trump’s presidency overwhelmingly cited their reason being claims that he does not respect women — but perhaps some of these demonstrators should take a good hard look in the mirror before throwing stones from inside their glass houses.
Feminists once fought for the right for women to vote — for whoever they wanted to.
Those who fought for women to no longer have to hope that their political wishes were shared by their husbands in the ballot box wanted to make sure that those who came after them had a choice. It seems that the feminists of today want to take that choice away.
Women who voted for Trump have been demonized, silenced by the media, and portrayed as nearly non-existent. This has been especially clear over the weekend as shills on late night television and liberal media claim that they stand with “all women” by supporting the Women’s March on Washington to thunderous applause. What these people are essentially stating is that women, like the one being abused in this video, do not exist or matter.
The march on DC this Saturday may have been impressive for the cameras, but never forget the 30 million women who marched to the polls on November 8th to cast their ballots for President Donald Trump.
The man told a reporter on the scene that it was an act of protest against president-elect Donald Trump.
“I was trying to light myself on fire as an act of protest,” the man told NBC4. “To protest the fact that we’re electing somebody who’s completely incapable of respecting the Constitution of the United States.”
The man was rushed to the hospital to be treated for burns, but the injuries are not believed to be serious. There was no damage to the hotel immediately reported.
Self-immolation is a centuries-old form of protest in which the person kills themselves as a political martyr. It is unclear if the man was actually planning to go that far, or if he had any real plan at all.
Earlier in the day, protesters repeatedly blocked traffic for a two-hour long march to the hotel from McPherson Square. The demonstrators repeatedly demanded that Trump’s presidency is illegitimate, because he wasn’t their candidate of choice.
It is likely that there will be plenty more hilarious shenanigans as protesters flood into DC. Multiple groups have vowed to attempt to shut down the inauguration completely, even plotting to attempt to stop the DC Metro public transportation lines.
In another bombshell undercover video from James O’Keefe’s team at Project Veritas, members of DC “anti-fascist” groups were caught plotting to attack the inaugural DeploraBall on Thursday evening with butyric acid.
The group known as the DC Anti-fascist Coalition met at the infamous Comet Ping Pong pizza restaurant, the location at the center of PizzaGate, to discuss ways to shut down the inaugural ball at the National Press Club. The methods the group focuses on are setting off the sprinklers and creating stink bombs to pump butyric acid into the ventilation system.
The three conspirators in the video, Colin Dunn, Luke Kuhn and Scott Green, also discuss going to case the building prior to the event.
“Yeah, if you had…a pint of butyric acid, I don’t care how big the building is, its closing,” Kuhn says.
“And this stuff is very efficient, it’s very very smelly, lasts a long time and a little goes a long way,” Green adds.
“I’m trying to think through how to get all the sprinklers to go off at once. There’s usually a piece of like fusible metal or a piece of glass with liquid in it that will blow,” Dunn responds.
The group also threatened to “physically fight” the police.
“The message has to be, we do not recognize the city government either. If you try to close us down we will look for your house, we will burn it. We will physically fight the police if they try to steal one of our places. We will go to war and you will lose,” Kuhn asserts.
“The coalition members discuss the steps they would need to take to halt the Deploraball event. Project Veritas notified the FBI, Secret Service and DC Metro Police of the content of this video prior to its release,” Project Veritas said in the description of their video.
Organizers of the DeploraBall have hired a professional security team to work the event and have been in contact with the DC police to ensure that they keep the area outside the Club entrance secure and accessible.
“We chose the Press Club partly because we knew it would be within the security perimeter. This means there will be an expanded police presence in the immediate area,” DeploraBall organizers said in a statement.
The group “Smash Racism DC” has also published a target list of people who will be attending the event, myself included. The document includes photographs and short strange bios of the attendees.
Additionally, the group has threatened to throw paint on those who are attending.
Their actions may be in violation of DC anti-terrorism laws. According to DC Code 22-3571.01(6), “it shall be unlawful for anyone to willfully or knowingly, with the intent of intimidating or frightening people, causing panic or civil unrest.” To do so is a felony which carries a prison sentence of up to five years.
James Comey, testifying before Congress on Tuesday, stated that the Federal Bureau of Investigation requested access to the Democratic National Committee server multiple times — but was repeatedly denied.
It was the first time Comey has spoken publicly since Donald Trump won the election.
When asked if the FBI was granted access to the DNC servers, he stated that they were not — despite repeated requests.
“A highly-respected private company eventually got access and shared with us what they found there,” Comey added.
Comey stated that he did not know why the DNC refused the FBI’s requests for access.
“We’d always prefer to have access hands-on ourselves if that’s possible,” Comey said.
When asked if Russians also tried to hack Republican campaigns at the same level, he replied, “not to my knowledge.
Last week, the DNC told Buzzfeed that the FBI never requested access to their servers following the breach.
Their claim was immediately disputed by a senior law enforcement official that spoke to Buzzfeed on the condition of anonymity.
“The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed until well after the initial compromise had been mitigated,” the official said. “This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.”
Many in the Democratic Party have petulantly blamed Comey for Clinton’s stunning election loss, due to his letter to lawmakers announcing that investigators had uncovered new emails that may be relevant to the the investigation into her private email server and handling of classified material while Secretary of State. Days later, he claimed that there was no new evidence and that he was standing by his decision not to recommend charges.
On Saturday, Trump had tweeted that he was looking forward to meeting with May, adding Britain, “a long time U.S. ally, is very special.” According to Breitbart News, she is set to be the first European leader to meet with the president-elect following his inauguration.
While many found the response from the embassy hilarious, they are now facing a slew of online backlash from commentators, who are probably “literally shaking,” while declaring that the Russian government just used a “white supremacist” symbol.
The smug frog was labeled a Nazi symbol by Hillary Clinton during her campaign, a move which was widely mocked.
“Donald Trump, Pepe the Frog, and White Supremacists: An Explainer,” an article posted to her campaign website was headlined, continuing, “That cartoon frog is more sinister than you might realize.”
Pepe, an anthropomorphic frog, is a popular meme that originated on 4chan message boards, along with many other popular memes from Doge to Scumbag Steve. It is widely used across party lines by those who enjoy internet culture.
Soon after Clinton began her war on memes, the Anti-Defamation League labeled the cartoon frog a hate symbol.
“The majority of uses of Pepe the Frog have been, and continue to be, non-bigoted. However, it was inevitable that, as the meme proliferated in on-line venues such as 4chan, 8chan, and Reddit, which have many users who delight in creating racist memes and imagery, a subset of Pepe memes would come into existence that centered on racist, anti-Semitic or other bigoted themes,” the ADL wrote of the frog.
While it has become a sort of unofficial mascot for those in the alt-right, they are not the only ones who use it — just like the memes featuring Harambe.
During the election season, Donald Trump Jr. also came under fire for tweeting a rare Pepe, which he never took down.
