Politico EXPOSED For Lazy Hit Piece On Real News, We Are Change

[Written by Rachel Blevins]
Luke Rudkowski’s response to the latest Politico hitpiece:
This sorry excuse for a story is one of those that puts the “lame” in the lamestream media, and it attempted to call out both me and WeAreChange.org, saying that we spread “fake news.” In reality, Simon Van Zuylen-Wood’s “This is What It’s Like to Read Fake News for Two Weeks” reads like the diary of a New York Hipster who is bitching and moaning because his echo-chamber has burst and he is trying to cope outside of his safe space.
There is one initial point Simon makes that I agree with, when he writes, “My working theory was that you can learn a lot about a fake news adherent from the company he keeps—especially on social media, where it’s possible to create bespoke echo chambers.” But the agreement stops there.
Alright, you say you spent TWO WEEKS investigating “fake news” and then you bring my name into it, so I want to know—what do you have on me? After investigating me, what is the worst thing you found?
“I scanned my feed to determine who was right. Cernovich was mostly doing Pizzagate coverage but also recommended I return to www.wearechange.org, where a contributor named @LukeWeAreChange was narrating developments in Syria,” Simon wrote. “Luke was filming himself at his desk, where he addressed the dichotomy head on. ‘With Assad having victory, the west and the mainstream media are freaking out in full hysteria,’ he told his viewers. ‘A lot of biased information meant to emotionally manipulate you.’”
He then went on to writer that I said, “You’re not getting this side of the story by the American mainstream media.” Uh yeah… BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT!
You had two weeks, and this is the worst thing you could find on me? I gave both sides of the story. I showed you a source from an American mainstream media article, and I showed you what someone on the ground reporting from a different point of view and what they’re telling their audience.
That is what journalism is! You present multiple sides, and you let the audience decide for themselves! You actually take the time to investigate, and then you source the information—as we do on our YouTube channel and website.
What Simon did was nitpick information and sources in order to make the claims he listed in his story, and he didn’t even address, investigate or debunk them. All he did was bitch and complain about them. He then hints at censorship he would like to see that doesn’t hurt his own personal bias.
“Watchdogs published lists of websites to disbelieve,”  Simon wrote — OK… You mean that fake “watchdog” website Propornot that was promoted by the Washington Post before they were forced to place an “editor’s note” on their story admitting that Propornot was not a credible source???
Simon then wrote that he “watched and tried to imagine what was going through the mind of the man who sees the world through faux-tinted glasses.” — He might as well have been talking about himself. In his “attempt” to break through the barrier of his own echo chamber, he is only calling for more censorship on the people who do not fit into his liberal safe space.
If Simon Van Zuylen-Wood really wanted to get to the bottom of fake news, he wouldn’t be writing for a news organization that has supported a chief political correspondent like Glenn Thrush, who identified himself as a “hack” when he was submitting stories about Hillary Clinton to her campaign—before submitting them to his own editors.
Just to clear things up for people like Simon…. I am not left. I am not right. I call things like I see them. There is a reason Bill O’Reilly called We Are Change “Jihad-loving liberals,” and Chris Matthews attacked us as “Right-wing racist tea-baggers.” We call out the establishment when it needs to be called out. That is the true dichotomy that we’re facing here. Establishment vs. non-establishment.

Is the Dallas Shooting the First Spark of a Potential Powder Keg?

The United States are dilacerated by interracial and deep social conflicts which could undermine American stability. The ongoing situation can be compared to the low-intensity civil war and the society could easily burst into flames at the slightest spark.

Hundreds of demonstrators have been arrested across the U.S. as protests against police shootings intensified and new details about the motivations and plans of the Dallas sniper emerged. In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, more than 160 people were detained during demonstrations over the shooting death of Alton Sterling, a 37-year-old African American.

Military-style vehicles, teargas and smoke grenades returned to American streets this summer, and Barack Obama appealed for calm and said those who attack law enforcement undermine the cause of social justice. The unrest built as authorities in Dallas, TX, said black gunmen had killed at least five white policemen in Dallas in the first inevitable result of years of anti-white incitement by the media and establishment. Gunfire broke out at around 20:45 local time last Thursday, as Black Lives Matter demonstrators marched through the city.

The so-called Black Power Political Organization claimed on its Facebook account that it was behind the attack in which cops were picked out from an ‘elevated position’. According to the BPPO statements ‘more assassinations are coming’. There were initial reports there could have been up to three or four snipers involved in a coordinated attack during a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest.

Victim of the System

The Dallas attack was highly organized. At least one of the suspects was a well trained U.S. military veteran who had gathered a large amount of weaponry. The gunman, Micah Xavier Johnson, served with the U.S. Army Reserve for six years and was in Afghanistan. He had far-reaching plans for the outbreak of a small guerrilla war against white policemen. Dallas Police Chief David Brown said Johnson told negotiators before he died he was upset over recent police-involved shootings of African Americans and ‘wanted to kill white people, especially white officers’. He was heavily-armed and killed by police – while holed up in the car park – in a robot-controlled explosive device after negotiations broke down.

Today an uncountable number of American veterans are trying to fit into civilian life after not getting a promotion and retirement. Hundreds of thousands of American citizens were taught to fight and kill by the US government, now many of them are living in poverty and hoarding anger at the unjust American society. These people represent a real army of potential murderers. Nevertheless, this is not their fault – the government does not take care of the veterans who gave their lives for the country and politicians are not ready to discuss this issue, they have no intention of even facing it.

The current political and economic systems are in crisis and are not addressing social and racial problems. Without a nationwide reform of police hiring and training practices,  a social explosion that would rival Ferguson’s riots in 2014 could erupt at any moment. Shootings in Baton Rouge and Kansas City of police officers demonstrate that growing hatred of police.

Racial Roots

The existing racism, of course, is a result of authorities’ inaction – which may be intentional. The Republican Party under George W. Bush loved to trumpet being “tough on crime” — but never addressed the crimes of police officers.

Racism is another powerful political trump card which is used by different political forces, including the Democratic Party. Moreover, the racism issue is a part of a horse trade and plays a big role in the run-up to presidential elections. Therefore, the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton will almost certainly get many votes thanks to her statements about the necessity of equality and fight against racism – despite her failure to actually offer a solution to the issue.

The ruling Democratic Party just concluded a deal with black communities – politicians give benefits and autonomy amounting to local fiefdoms to the community leaders, who herd them votes in exchange. As a result, African Americans have been urged to vote for the Democrats, especially the Clintons. Bill and Hillary have very close ties with black leaders, so there is no surprise that Hillary Clinton has condemned the Dallas Police Department.

Both the Republicans and the Democrats have failed to solve the police brutality crisis, and have escalated the situation with weapons from the federal government. Unless a change is made, the police brutality will continue, and fuel the growing race divide.

Oregon school board bans books that question climate change

Oregon school-board bans books that question climate change – Nazi-Style Censorship.

The Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a resolution this week that bans textbooks and other teaching materials that deny climate change exists or cast doubt on whether humans are to blame.

The resolution, introduced by school board member Mike Rosen, also directs the superintendent and staff to develop a plan for offering “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice” in all Portland public schools, the Portland Tribune reported.

In a move spearheaded by environmentalists, the Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a resolution aimed at eliminating doubt of climate change and its causes in schools.

“It is unacceptable that we have textbooks in our schools that spread doubt about the human causes and urgency of the crisis,” said Lincoln High School student Gaby Lemieux in board testimony. “Climate education is not a niche or a specialization, it is the minimum requirement for my generation to be successful in our changing world.”

The resolution passed Tuesday evening calls for the school district to get rid of textbooks or other materials that cast doubt on whether climate change is occurring and that the activity of human beings is responsible. The resolution also directs the superintendent and staff to develop an implementation plan for “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice in all Portland Public Schools.”

“It is unacceptable that we have textbooks in our schools that spread doubt about the human causes and urgency of the crisis,” Lincoln High School student Gaby Lemieux said during board testimony Tuesday. “Climate education is not a niche or a specialization, it is the minimum requirement for my generation to be successful in our changing world.”

Bill Bigelow, editor of the ReThinking Schools online magazine and co-author of a textbook on environmental education, worked with several environmental groups to present the resolution, the Tribune reported.

“A lot of the text materials are kind of thick with the language of doubt, and obviously the science says otherwise,” Mr. Bigelow said. “We don’t want kids in Portland learning material courtesy of the fossil fuel industry.”

He took particular issue with teaching materials that used iffy language when discussing climate change, like “might,” “may” and “could.”

Asked if the resolution will force the district to buy new textbooks, such as his book, “A People’s Curriculum for the Earth,” Mr. Bigelow said ReThinking Schools is a nonprofit, not a money-maker, the Tribune reported.

“What we’re asking for is not: Buy new stuff,” he said. “What we’re looking for is a whole different model of curriculum development and distribution.”

The US House of Representatives Openly Calls for Regime Change in Moscow

SOURCE: Russia Insider

Just weeks after a European-brokered ceasefire greatly reduced the violence in Ukraine, the US House of Representatives today takes a big step toward re-igniting — and expanding — the bloody civil war. (more…)

After years of research and a series of unpleasant experiences concerning the current child protection services system, Alec Cope decided to combat the cancerous corruption through information. Freelance writing articles as a form of protest and distributing them throughout his former high-school and local area, Alec struck special chords with whomever he was in contact with.

Alec has been involved in activism such as sit down protests as well as Idle No More gatherings. Being independent for the majority of his time, Alec became a member of the WeAreChange family to assist one of the organizations that inspired him to become active in the first place. With a larger platform and positive support Alec has committed the majority of his time to research, writing, and maintaining social media with the goal to continue expanding the awakening sweeping throughout all levels of society.

Growing up within a rural area in Northern Michigan as well as being a native American descendant, Alec is seeking to expose environmental abuse in his state as well as globally. A high-school dropout, Alec chases his passion for writing and empowering individuals while showing any isolated person that they too can overcome the odds with a community that will support them. Alec lives in the lower peninsula of Michigan near Kalamazoo.
