The Pentagon cannot account for $6.5 trillion dollars according to a new Department of Defense Inspector General’s report – raising alarm bells not just because of the obvious lack of accountability and oversight, but because the last time the Pentagon ‘lost’ an enormous sum of money, 9/11 happened.
Donald Rumsfeld was due to testify about a missing $2.3 trillion before Congress on September 13 2001, however the case was put on hold after the events of September 11.
The paper trail was destroyed when one side of the Pentagon was blown up, and the $2.3 trillion dollar case was brushed under the rubble.
The new case of the missing trillions, and the combustible political climate in the U.S. in 2016, has left many commentators fearing that “something big is about to happen again.”
Everyone knows by now that the US military has the largest budget on the planet. It’s so large in fact, that it could pay for China’s military budget 3 times over. Which has to make you wonder, where does all of that money go? You may think that question has an obvious answer, since we are aware of most of the military’s weapon systems, personnel numbers, and equipment.
In reality, we don’t know. And when I say we, I mean even our own government doesn’t really know. In response to Congressional demands that the Pentagon provide a comprehensive audit of their finances for the first time, a Department of Defense Inspector General’s report was published last week. It revealed that the Pentagon could not provide documentation pertaining to $6.5 trillion in transactions.
On top of that, the report showed that the Pentagon “did not document or support why the Defense Departmental Reporting System . . . removed at least 16,513 of 1.3 million records during Q3 FY 2015. As a result, the data used to prepare the FY 2015 AGF third quarter and year-end financial statements were unreliable and lacked an adequate audit trail.” Sounds like the Pentagon is deliberately hiding some of their expenses, doesn’t it?
Which wouldn’t come as a surprise, since the Pentagon has been ignoring a federal law passed 20 years ago, which mandates regular audits for all government agencies. In that time, they’ve never once provided a good explanation for where their our money is spent. Is this money being burned up in fraud and waste, or are they spending it on clandestine activities that would outrage the American people? Since they never get in trouble for ignoring our auditing laws, we’ll probably never know.

Electronic construction signs belonging to the Texas Department of Transportation were hacked on Monday, and changed to display messages such as “Bernie for President,” and “Donald Trump is a… shape shifting lizard!!”
The signs along Interstate-30 in Dallas were all hacked over the course of 48 hours on Monday and early Tuesday. The signs, which are meant to warn drivers about road construction, were all eventually turned off.
“Due to safety concerns, we strongly discourage people from stopping in work zones to create situations such as this,” Texas Department of Transportation spokesman Tony Hartzel said in a statement on Monday.
So far, no suspects have been named in the hacking, nor has it been confirmed if it was done on site or remotely.
A spokesperson for TxDOT told local station KRLD that there is no humor in the hack, and that the messages removed warnings about nearby construction zones.
The idea of reptilian humanoids is often used in science fiction and has been pushed by conspiracy theorists such as David Icke who believe that shape-shifting aliens control earth through political power.
In 2011, comedian Louis C.K. appeared on the Opie and Anthony radio show and repeatedly questioned former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld about whether or not he and former Vice President Dick Cheney are actually lizards people who enjoy eating human flesh.
Rumsfeld did not outright deny being a lizard, causing C.K. to run with it as an admission of guilt.
Donald Rumsfeld took to Twitter on Tax Day to express his despair over the fact that at 83-years-old he may never live to see a flat tax enacted.
The former Secretary of Defense sent out a series of three tweets, doing what many Americans are doing today — complaining about taxes. Seems harmless, right? Not when you are globally hated war criminal.
Over half a century of filing my taxes and I know I do not know if I have done so correctly. It remains a known unknown. #TaxDay
Rumsfeld wasn’t met with the friendly consoling and compassion that so many others have been met with today, as Twitter’s notorious snark came flying out on full display — reminding him that at least he “got to start” his “own war” and lamenting that maybe he will see it in hell.
There are seemingly endless reasons to throw hate at Rumsfeld, but one of the most common reasons is that he was a leading architect of the Iraq War, while famously claiming that it had “nothing to do with oil, literally nothing to do with oil.” He was also involved in decision making which allowed the extrajudicial execution of several people — a war crime and breach of the Geneva Conventions.
Additionally, the use of torture in facilities such as Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib occurred as he was serving as the Secretary of Defense.
Appearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee in 2004, Rumsfeld stated, “these events occurred on my watch as Secretary of Defense. I am accountable for them,” yet it does not appear that he will ever be prosecuted.
“There are other photos — many other photos — that depict incidents of physical violence towards prisoners, acts that can only be described as blatantly sadistic, cruel and inhuman,” Rumsfeld told the Senate Armed Services Committee. “And I am advised there also are videos of these actions.”
“These events occurred on my watch,” Rumsfeld continued. “As secretary of defense, I am accountable for them and I take full responsibility.”
We Are Change’s Luke Rudkowski recently questioned Rumsfeld on the streets of New York. The video is below.
As reported before, aspartame has been shown time and again in studies (the ones not commissioned by the industry) to be bad for you.
Now yet another new study, this one published in the journal Redox Biology, has concluded what lots of other research over the past decades has repeatedly shown — aspartame, the popular sweetener in over 6,000 grocery store items, including everything from soup mixes to carbonated beverages to chewing gum — can essentially program your brain cells to kill themselves.
