In a stunning audit of history, Wikileaks today released over half a million U.S. diplomatic cables from the year 1979.

The “new” 531,525 cables comes after the internet went into a furious rage speculating that Wikileaks was compromised and it’s founder Julian Assange was dead, and after a recent release of the Yemen files, which revealed the U.S. plan to give $147 million in military hardware to Yemen.

“If any year could be said to be the ‘year zero’ of our modern era, 1979 is it,” WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said, in a press release.

“In the Middle East, the Iranian revolution, the Saudi Islamic uprising and the Egypt-Israel Camp David Accords led not only to the present regional power dynamic but decisively changed the relationship between oil, militant Islam and the world,” Assange, added.

Some of the topics discussed in these cables thus far known are the three mile island nuclear plant incident, SALT II treaty and placing nukes in Europe, the Sandinista revolution, the CIA’s coup of El Salvador, Grenada and the Ecuadorian election, Cuba, and the Iranian revolution and so much more.

Wikileaks is literally rewriting our history everything we were taught by the MSM and peddled to us by past presidents is being exposed as lies, cover ups etc. The truth is coming out through Wikileaks transparency and being honest would have stopped this. None the less the international whistle-blower organization is proving it’s slogan true “we open governments.”

That brings the total number of documents released by Wikileaks in it’s diplomatic collection to 3.3 million cables, with the addition of these new 531,525 cables.
