(At the bottom of this article, are We Are Change videos detailing some of the heinous actions Monsanto has participated in, and the nature of GMO’s)

The St-Louis based corporation that has been responsible for genocide, the oppression of small farmers, the destruction of the environment and subsequent protection from the US government has announced that it will be forced to cut 1000 jobs, to ‘streamline’ the business.

Monsanto made the announcement January 6th, in the wake of the US Department of Agriculture stating that farmer’s incomes would drop to 38% which is the lowest it’s been in over a decade.

Last October, Monsanto also announced it would cut 2,600 jobs to save $1.1 billion and $1.2 billion

Monsanto CEO Hugh Grant commented that the international community’s chaotic course when it comes to their currencies, as the main driving force behind this decision.

Last November, Monsanto reported a 23% slump in their revenue, when the predictions were pointing toward more expansion. The exportation of corn, their main cash crop dropped by 20%, with other products following the same trend.

Controversy has been following the shadowy corporation within recent years. Some examples such as Oakland suing the Bio-tech corporation for environmental destruction, the presence of a restriction on GMO products in 60 countries, a complete ban in 16 countries, Russia proclaiming it will be the world’s largest organic food exporter within 4 years and one of the largest protests in human-history against the corporation; are painting a picture – it ain’t the currency that’s the cause of financial strife.

It’s the people standing up and saying ENOUGH of the bullshit, and the results are continually flooding in. Let’s keep it rolling people.
