Now that both Colorado and Oregon have GMO labeling questions on their November ballots, one might wonder what Monsanto and the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association (GMA) are doing to stop that?

On August 22-24, the GMA hosted their inaugural “GMA Leadership Forum” at the luxurious Broadmoor Hotel ($455 min/night) in Colorado Springs.  After reading through the 20-page attendee list, you might describe their meeting as a ‘food-Bilderberg group.’  The list includes 100s of executives from numerous billion-dollar corporations including Monsanto, Google, Walmart, Dupont, Pepsi, Coke, NASCAR, Kroger, GE, Kraft, Conagra, The Carlyle Group, Cargill, Hershey’s, Mars, General Mills, Kellogg, Unilever, Annie’s, Peapod, Nielson, WhiteWave and many more.

Once We Are Change Colorado found out about the GMA Leadership Forum, we planned a last minute demonstration called the “Broadmoor Bee Die-In” for August 24th, the day Monsanto would be inside presenting.

Once I arrived on scene, I decided to get some breakfast at the Natural Epicurean (of course it’s organic for Monsanto execs) and while walking through the Broadmoor courtyard, a security guard (Randy) who had been trailing me asked me to leave.  I immediately complied and I filmed the entire way out.  I even filmed the encounter with Wayne Hoskins, the Broadmoor’s security director who called the cops on me for supposedly trespassing.

By the time Colorado Springs Police arrived, I had put my bee costume on and that’s when arresting officer Sgt. Jerry Steckler began shaking me down for trespassing.  Steckler’s only evidence was the testimony by the Broadmoor security director, who said I failed to leave the property when I was told to do so.  Although I tried to explain, Sgt. Steckler told me to save it for court and arrested me.  Originally we had planned to ‘die’ out front of the Broadmoor to bring awareness to the dying honey bee population, but instead the cops arrested/assaulted a bee, which was even more unforgettable.

The Broadmoor’s security director Wayne Hoskins ordered CSPD Sgt. Jerry Steckler to arrest Bruce “Bee” Baumann for trespassing.

Wayne Hoskins’ claim that I failed to comply with the order to leave was completely fabricated, in what seems to be a conspiracy to shut down the First Amendment demonstration going on outside the GMA Leadership Forum.

“This guy’s going to get sued!” but first the trespass charge must be dismissed.

The most baffling part of this whole day was after I was released by Police, I noticed the video of me complying with the security’s order to leave was now only 1.2 seconds long.  I thought to myself, did this cop tamper with evidence or had I possibly screwed up?

After investigating further, I found multiple videos that show Sgt. Steckler fiddling around with the video camera that was filming on the hood of the cop car.  Those videos will be kept private until a forensics expert can confirm whether the video was altered or not.

The trespassing court case is set for November 17, 2014 at 8am at the El Paso Combined Court in Colorado Springs.

Without question, the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association Leadership Forum was nothing more than a ritzy multi-million dollar fundraiser for the companies who need to secretly lobby against this year’s GMO labeling campaigns.  Millions were spent to stop the labeling campaigns in California and Washington; will 2014 be different or will the GMA succeed in using their millions to use propaganda to manipulate the people once again?

This time around, the Grocery Manufacturers Association is still facing a pending money laundering lawsuit for illegally concealing their campaign financiers in Washington – whom most of which were present at their huge fundraiser in Colorado Springs.  The money laundering lawsuit, filed by Washington’s Attorney General Bob Ferguson, claims the GMA disguised a way for companies to oppose GMO labeling without having to declare their donations publicly.  Lingering headlines about the GMA lawsuit in Washington can’t bode well for their cause in 2014 and it’s very important we shine light on the GMA’s inaugural invitation-only gathering of multinationals profiting off genetically modified organisms.

Thus far, the biggest enemy of GMO labeling in Colorado is the “Coalition Against Misleading Labeling Initiative” which was incorporated with the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office on January 28, 2014, but still has no website or Facebook.  Keep your eye on them; they are the lobbyist group the media uses to source opposition to GMO labeling.

The GMO tipping point Jeffrey Smith and others have been building finally seems to be underway.  Vermont had a landmark victory for GMO labels, two Oregon counties outright banned GMOs and surveys continually estimate 75%–93% of Americans support putting mandatory labels on genetically modified organisms in food.

64 other countries already have mandatory GMO labeling laws, will Colorado and Oregon propel America to become number 65?

It all depends on what happens over these next two months.

The ideas being discussed at the Aspen Ideas Festival make some wonder if this is comparable to Colorado’s own Bilderberg conference.  Over 350 presenters will take part in 200 sessions with a wide variety of topics ranging from terrorism, NSA spying, big data, gun control, transhumanism, combating climate change, global government, biotechnology (GMOs), fracking and many more. Before selling out, tickets were priced between $2800-$8500.  Those prices may shock some, but the 3,000 elite attendees who purchased tickets aren’t worried about outlandish prices.  The attendees can avoid the hassle of Denver International Airport, fly their private jets straight to Aspen’s private airport and be at their hotels within minutes.

Although no official mention was made about the Transpacific Partnership (TPP), or Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA), it’s certainly a good possibility the elites will be finalizing the globalist trade agreements that have been described by some as, ‘NAFTA on steroids.’

Although it seems like Hillary Clinton has already been selected as the 2016 President, she continues get hammered. Recently, Hillary had a shoe thrown at her, she had to choke on her own comments about being ‘dead broke,’ she was confronted by Luke Rudkowski about why she supported arming Al Qaeda and June 23rd, while in Denver, for the Global Clinton Initiative Conference, she was confronted about her attendance at Bilderberg Group, while signing her new book.

Even after being shown a picture of her at the secretive globalist planning conference, she still denied attending Bilderberg.

What are GMOs and why aren’t they labeled?  Those questions will be answered more in 2014, than any year before.

After last week’s announcement that the Colorado Supreme Court approved the ballot initiative 48 language, Right To Know Colorado is now moving forward with the petitioning process to gain the 86,105 signatures needed by August to force a November vote on whether genetically modified organisms – GMOS – in food would legally be required to have a label.

“We are pleased that the state Supreme Court ruled in favor of the GMO labeling ballot title, and we look forward to bringing a GMO labeling initiative before the voters of Colorado this fall. Coloradans have the right to know what is in their food, and to make purchasing decisions for their families based on knowing whether their foods are genetically engineered, and we believe they will have that opportunity after November,” said Larry Cooper, one of the proponents of the Right to Know Colorado initiative.

Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont are all looking to join Maine and Connecticut as the first states in America to vote to put mandatory labels on GMO food.  If enough states pass laws, labels laws will soon have to be changed at the federal level.  Until then, we must vote with our dollars by supporting companies who support our right to know.

Millions around the world will March Against Monsanto on Saturday May 24^th to demonstrate against the chemical company who owns the majority of GMO seed patents.  This will be a great experience for families and an excellent networking opportunity for activists. Regardless of mainstream media coverage, with over 550+ events scheduled internationally, the public will let their voices be heard!

After the city of Fort Collins, Colorado and Larimer County paid $10 million dollars to settle a federal civil rights lawsuit out of court with Timothy Masters in 2010, for wrongfully convicting him of the grisly 1987 murder of Peggy Hettrick, another Fort Collins case has emerged that is eerily similar.

‘Burning the Beekeeper: The Benjamin David Gilmore Story,’ was created to show evidence, from two separate trials, that proves Gilmore’s innocence in the $10 million dollar fire at the Mason Flats Apartments in Fort Collins on October 24, 2011.  The documentary points to two other individuals, transients Gerardo ‘Clutter’ Salazar and Gerald Carter, who were the first suspects questioned, and for unknown reasons were dismissed by the Fort Collins Police Department.

Not only did witnesses testify under oath that Salazar admitted to setting the fire but his clothes were alerted to by the accelerant-sniffing arson dog.  Unfathomably, investigators had his clothes sent to experts in California, where they were specifically told NOT to investigate and to return the clothes untested.

It gets worse.

As the fire raged, the first witness on the scene was Gerald Carter, who was told to leave his property and immediately leave the scene.   Investigators cleared him as a suspect without any interviews and went as far as deleting him from their criminal database.

Although the police report shows Salazar admitted he joked to others about throwing Molotov cocktails at the building, the Fort Collins Police let him go without any other interviews or surveillance.

Lt. James Broderick, the lead investigator on the Tim Masters’ case was indicted by a grand jury on federal perjury charges for his involvement in the case.  After surviving the lengthy and expensive court battle, he resigned with his pension, but admitted mistakes investigating Masters, including “tunnel vision” on the part of investigators who focused only on Masters as a suspect in their zeal to get a conviction.

The similarities between the two cases include Fort Collins’ investigators reliance on a few pieces of evidence and the exclusion of many significant items of direct evidence.  For example, Gilmore’s Rolex watch was found at the scene and burns on his hands dictated their whole investigation.  Gilmore, who doesn’t have his left hand, burned his hands while he was practicing the art of fire poi spinning.

Why would Gilmore leave an expensive Rolex watch, with his name on it, at the scene of an arson fire? 

Prosecutors claimed it was either caught on a nail or it became too hot and he had to remove it.  They failed to address that Gerardo ‘Clutter Salazar worked for Gilmore at the family’s successful local business, Copoco’s Honey and that he also had access to Gilmore’s house.  Prosecutors also failed to address the fact that homeless people were staying on the third floor of the apartment building that was under construction; those homeless men were reportedly using Sterno cans as a heat source.

Why would Police want to prosecute Benjamin Gilmore?

Gilmore was looked up to by the community for his beekeeping skills.  He was also a vocal and inspiring member of the beginning stages of Fort Collins’ Occupy Wall Street movement.  He was a non-violent unappointed leader of Occupy who threatened the establishment by being a well-liked and outspoken critic of the United States’ endless wars of occupation and of the privately owned Federal Reserve funding them.

The fires at the Mason Flats/Penny Flats Apartments were one block away from the Occupy Fort Collins encampment and the media immediately hyped Gilmore as a suspect.

When ‘Burning the Beekeper’ debuted at the Lyric Cinema Café on December 3, the Fort Collins newspaper, The Coloradoan, shed light on the prime suspect Gerardo “Clutter” Salazar, who mysteriously died in a train accident.

Benjamin Gilmore needs our help immediately because this Thursday he appears in front of Judge Odell (970-494-3800 – Case #11CR1575) at 1:30pm, to face a maximum 30-year prison sentence.

What can we do about it?

Most importantly, share this film.

Please politely call the Judge’s office and any media outlets, before Thursday, so we can create needed awareness to save Ben from being separated from his wife and 9-month old son.

We Are Changers around the world still have a chance to help stop the secret passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Yesterday, Wikileaks published a 95-page page excerpt of the TPP’s most recent draft.

All TPP trade negotiations have been kept completely secret from journalists, politicians and the public, while access has been granted to more than 600 corporate lobbyists and unelected government officials involved in the drafting process.

This time around, the Trans-Pacific Partnership looks to exponentially expand its scope more so than any other previous trade agreement.

The TPP Trade Agreement currently involves 12 countries: United States, Japan, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, Canada and Mexico with a possibility of China joining in later on.

The TPP threatens internet freedom, intellectual property law and stands to create a new court for investor-state dispute settlements (ISDS).

The newly created courts would allow corporations the right to sue countries for having laws that diminish their bottom line profits and share prices. Corporations would essentially have the power to bankrupt entire nations with billion dollar lawsuits.

If this legislation is fast tracked, the TPP is in clear violation of Article 1 Section 8, the Commerce Clause of the US Constitution. Individuals representing the United States cannot sign off on foreign trade agreements without Congressional approval.

Over 130 members of the House of Representatives have joined Representative Rosa Delauro and Rep. George Miller by signing a letter to United States Trade Representative Ambassador Ron Kirk calling for more additional Congressional input and transparency in the TPP trade negotiations process.

The Delauro-Miller letter states:

“Provide us with a copy of the confidentiality agreement and an explanation as to what role USTR or other governments played in crafting it.”

The letter addresses the agreement’s increase in scope stating:

“The negotiations USTR is pursuing will create binding policies on future Congresses in numerous areas. These could include those related to labor, patent and copyright, land use, food, agriculture and product standards, natural resources, the environment, professional licensing, state-owned enterprises and government procurement policies, as well as financial, healthcare, energy, telecommunications and other service sector regulations.”

Supporters of the TPP believe this agreement will be the model for future global government agreements such as the upcoming trade agreement between the US and European Union known as the Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Area (TAFTA).

If we can begin to actively put pressure on our representatives, we can stop these this trade agreement before it’s too late.

Congress has the power to stop this from happening, but they will only act if they receive public pressure from individual citizens.

It’s important that we don’t let companies like Monsanto, JPMorgan and Halliburton fast-track this TPP agreement.

For those who are new to this sort of thing, we’ve been able to stop many trade agreements in the past. For instance, it was a citizen protest that disrupted the 1999 World Trade Organization’s negotiations in Seattle.

What You Can Do to Help

Please routinely post on the United State Trade Representative’s Facebook, politely bombard your representatives with phone calls, sign the petition, create your own demonstrations and publish your own content (videos, articles, memes, etc.) about this dangerous trade agreement.

The more awareness we can create around the TPP, the harder it will be for them to keep it secret and out of the public eye.

Success is within reach and with focused intention, we can stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
