Shortly after 8:46 a.m. on the day of the attacks, just minutes after the first plane struck the World Trade Center, five men — later revealed to be Israeli nationals — had positioned themselves in the parking lot of the Doric Apartment Complex in Union City, New Jersey, where they were seen taking pictures and filming the attacks while also celebrating the destruction of the towers and “high fiving” each other. At least one eyewitness interviewed by the FBI had seen the Israelis’ van in the parking lot as early as 8:00 a.m. that day, more than 40 minutes prior to the attack. The story received coverage in U.S. mainstream media at the time but has since been largely forgotten.

The men — Sivan Kurzberg, Paul Kurzberg, Oded Ellner, Yaron Shimuel and Omar Marmari — were subsequently apprehended by law enforcement and claimed to be Israeli tourists on a “working holiday” in the United States where they were employed by a moving company, Urban Moving Systems. Upon his arrest, Sivan Kurzberg told the arresting officer, “We are Israeli; we are not your problem. Your problems are our problems, The Palestinians are the problem.”

For years, the official story has been that these individuals, while they had engaged in “immature” behavior by celebrating and being “visibly happy” in their documenting of the attacks, had no prior knowledge of the attack. However, newly released FBI copies of the photos taken by the five Israelis strongly suggest that these individuals had prior knowledge of the attacks on the World Trade Center. The copies of the photos were obtained via a FOIA request made by a private citizen.

According to a former high-ranking American intelligence official who spoke to the Jewish Daily Forward in 2002, the FBI concluded in its investigation that the five Israelis arrested “were conducting a Mossad surveillance mission and that their employer, Urban Moving Systems of Weehawken, NJ, served as a front.” At least two of the men arrested were determined to have direct links to the Mossad after their names appeared in a CIA-FBI database of foreign intelligence operatives. According to one of their lawyers, one of the men, Paul Kurzberg, had previously worked for the Mossad in another country prior to arriving in the United States. Another of those arrested, Oded Ellner, subsequently stated on Israeli TV that the five Israelis had been in New York at the time “to document the event,” meaning the attack on the World Trade Center.

The FOIA release of the photos is notable because responses to prior FOIA requests to the Department of Justice, which oversees the FBI, had previously claimed that all of the photos taken by the Israeli nationals had been destroyed in January 2014. The photos themselves are heavily redacted, making it impossible to see the Israelis’ facial expressions. However, previously declassified yet heavily redacted FBI reports state that the Israelis are “visibly happy” in nearly every photo, even when the burning towers are in the background. The photos released are also not original copies and instead appear to be photocopies of photocopies of the original pictures. In addition, of the original 76 pictures developed by authorities from the camera in the Israelis’ possession, only 14 were released.

Based on the impressions of the French website Panamza and subsequently MintPress, three of these photos — despite the heavy redaction and poor quality — appear damning. Since 2001, even though the photos were never released until now, it had been known that one of the Israelis arrested — Sivan Kurzberg — was seen in a photo “holding a lighted lighter in the foreground, with the smoldering wreckage [of the twin towers] in the background,” according to Steven Noah Gordon, then-lawyer for the five Israelis, as cited in a New York Times report from November 2001.

The picture of Kurzberg with the lit lighter appears to be photo #5 in the new FOIA release. Yet, the picture released includes a visible date of September 10, 2001, the day before the attacks, as do two other photos — images #7 and #8 in the collection — whereas all other photos with dates show only the month and the year (9 ‘01). The FOIA release did not provide any information as to the apparent discrepancy in dates.

While this could be explained away as the camera in question being programmed with a slightly inaccurate date, that doesn’t seem to be the case for two reasons. First, only three out of the 14 pictures appear to carry that date and, second, previously declassified FBI reports report an eyewitness adamantly stating that Sivan Kurzberg had visited the Doric Apartments on September 10, 2001 at around 3 p.m. with at least one other man, with whom he was conversing in a foreign language, and had identified himself as a “construction worker” to a tenant (page 61 of declassified FBI report).

In addition, the FBI report noted that a van from Urban Moving Systems, the company that employed the five Israelis at the time of their arrest, was present and was involved in moving a tenant out of the complex on September 10 and that the movers all had foreign accents. Thus, images 5, 7 and 8 may have been taken at the same complex a day before the attacks.

This raises two possibilities. First, that there are two images of Kurzberg with a lit lighter in front of the towers, one taken before the attack and one taken at the time of the attack, and that the FBI released only one of them. Second, that Kurzberg took the picture with the lighter only the day before the attack and his lawyer misrepresented the contents of the photo to the New York Times. Given that the background of the photo — particularly the state of the towers — is indiscernible in the recently released photo, it is difficult to determine which is the case.

However, other analysts have interpreted the photos quite differently. For instance, Ryan Dawson, formerly of Newsbud, cited the police report that details the clothing of some of the Israelis at the time of their arrest and used that to link identities to the redacted faces in the pictures. He believes that the Israeli holding the lighter is not Sivan Kurzberg, but his brother Paul. Meanwhile, the person who filed the FOIA request that resulted in the picture’s release, who wished to remain anonymous, thought that Omer Marmari was more likely to be the man with the lighter.

Both have stated that all pictures were likely to have been taken on the day of the attacks. One reason given for the appearance of the date of September 10, 2001 in only some of the photos is due to the heavy editing, which rendered it invisible in the remaining photos. Dawson asserted that the incorrect date was due to the Israelis’ panicking when they were pulled over and attempting to edit the date and hour on the camera upon the arrest in an effort to hide the evidence. Another explanation put forth is that it was the result of a camera configuration error.

Given the highly redacted and edited nature of the pictures, what is most notable of all is the fact of what is not seen (i.e. edited out) in the photos. Clearly, there was an interest in preventing the public from seeing the state of the towers at the time of the photos were taken and also in preventing the public from seeing the facial expressions of the Israelis, despite it being known from the FBI report that they are “visibly happy” and “jovial.” The state of the towers being edited out is particularly telling.

As to whether any of the Israelis knew of the attacks in advance, the relevant section of the FBI report that asks “1. Did the Israeli nationals have foreknowledge of the events at WTC and were they filming the events prior to and in anticipation of the explosion?” is notably redacted in its entirety, suggesting that the FBI did not determine the answer to that question to be an emphatic “no.”

One of the 9/11 loose-ends cover-ups?

If images 5 and 7 were indeed taken the day prior to the attack, the question then becomes why the FBI officially concluded that the arrested Israelis had no prior knowledge of the attacks? One report from ABC News dated June 2002 suggests that the Bush administration intervened in the investigation. That report states that “Israeli and U.S. government officials worked out a deal — and after 71 days, the five Israelis were taken out of jail, put on a plane, and deported back home [to Israel].” If the Bush administration had cut a deal with Israel’s government to cover up the incident, it certainly would not have been the first time a U.S. presidential administration had done so on Israel’s behalf.

Further evidence that higher-ups in the administration intervened is the fact that then-Attorney General John Ashcroft personally signed off on the detainees’ release. Upon his entering the private sector as a lobbyist and consultant in 2005, the Israeli government became one of Ashcroft’s first clients.

A cover-up certainly seems to have happened to some extent, between the destruction of records of the investigation and the fact that official conclusions of the investigation do not add up. In the latter case, the FBI  — in a file dated September 24, 2001– officially stated that they “determined that none of the Israelis were actively engaged in clandestine intelligence activities in the United States.” However, that conclusion was directly contradicted by U.S. officials a year later and by the fact that Israel’s own government subsequently acknowledged that the five Israelis had indeed been involved in “clandestine intelligence activities in the United States.”

In addition, the new FOIA release of the photos suggests that another FBI conclusion — that “none of the pictures developed from the film found inside the 35-mm camera depicted the twin towers prior to the attack” — was inaccurate. This may explain why the images released via the recent FOIA request were heavily edited leaving details in the background greatly obscured, making it impossible to determine whether the photos were taken prior to or during the attacks based solely on the state of the towers.

“Tourists” with cash-stuffed socks, box cutters, and explosives?

Beyond the photos and observed activities of the so-called “Dancing Israelis,” it is worth revisiting several other suspicious circumstances linked to their arrest that clearly show that the men in question were hardly the “tourists” they had claimed to be. One often cited example is the fact that one of the men, Oded Ellner, had a “white sock-like sack filled with $4,700 in cash,” as well as maps of the city with certain places highlighted, and box cutters. In addition, the van in which the Israelis were arrested was “oddly” lacking “equipment typically used in a moving company’s daily duties,” according to the FBI, and residue of explosives was found in the van.

Of the explosive residue, the declassified FBI report states:

A search of the van and individuals was conducted at the time of the vehicle stop. The vehicle was also searched by a trained bomb-sniffing dog which yielded a positive result for the presence of explosive traces. Swabs of the vehicle’s interior were taken, and those samples were sent to the FBI laboratory for further analysis. Final results are still pending.”

In total, the FBI reported that four items related to explosives were found in the ban and are labeled in the report as “Fabric Sample (Explosive Residue),” “Control Swabs – SA [ – ] Gloves,” “Control Swabs – (Bomb Suits),” and “Blanket Samples For Explosive Residue.” In addition, a VHS tape and some still photographs found in the van “were sent to Laboratory Examiner [ redacted ] (Explosives Unit).”

In addition to the strange nature of some of the Israelis’ possessions in the van and on their person, the company that employed them — Urban Moving Systems — was of special interest to the FBI, which concluded that the company was likely a “fraudulent operation.” Upon a search of the company’s premises, the FBI noted that “little evidence of a legitimate business operation was found.” The FBI report also noted that there were an “unusually large number of computers relative to the number of employees for such a fairly small business” and that “further investigation identified several pseudo-names or aliases associated with Urban Moving Systems and its operations.”

The FBI presence at the Urban Moving Systems search site drew the attention of the local media and was later reported on both television and in the local press. A former Urban Moving Systems employee later contacted the Newark Division with information indicating that he had quit his employment with Urban Moving Systems as a result of the high amount of anti-American sentiment present among Urban’s employees. The former employee stated that an Israeli employee of Urban had even once remarked, “Give us twenty years and we’ll take over your media and destroy your country” (page 37 of the FBI report).

The FBI returned to search the premises of Urban Moving Systems a month later, but by that time found:

The building and all of its contents had been abandoned by…the owner of Urban Moving Systems. This [was] apparently being done to avoid criminal prosecution after the 09/11/2001 arrest of five of his employees and subsequent seizure of his office computer systems by members of the FBI-NK on or around 09/13/2001.”

The company’s owner — Dominik Otto Suter, an Israeli citizen — had fled to Israel on September 14, 2001, two days after he had been questioned by the FBI. The FBI told ABC News that “Urban Moving may have been providing cover for an Israeli intelligence operation.” Surprisingly, since at least 2016, Suter has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he works for a contractor for major tech companies like Google and Microsoft. According to the public records database Intelius, in 2006 and 2007 Suter also worked for a telecommunications company — Granite Telecommunications — that works for the U.S. military and several other U.S. government agencies.

In addition to Urban Moving Systems, another moving company, Classic International Movers, became of interest in connection with the investigation into the “Dancing Israelis,” which led to the arrest and detention of four Israeli nationals who worked for this separate moving company. The FBI’s Miami Division had alerted the Newark Division that Classic International Movers was believed to have been used by one of the 19 alleged 9/11 hijackers before the attack, and one of the “Dancing Israelis” had the number for Classic International Movers written in a notebook that was seized at the time of his arrest. The report further states that one of the Israelis of Classic International Movers who was arrested “was visibly disturbed by the Agents’ questioning regarding his personal email account.”

A crowded dance floor

While the case of the “Dancing Israelis” has long been treated as an outlier in the aftermath of September 11, what is often overlooked is the fact that hundreds of Israeli nationals were arrested in the aftermath of the attacks.

According to a FOX News report from December 2001, 60 Israelis were apprehended or detained after September 11, with most deported, and a total of 140 Israelis were arrested and detained in all of 2001 by federal authorities. That report claimed that the arrests, ostensibly including the “Dancing Israelis,” were in relation to an investigation of “an organized [Israeli] intelligence gathering operation designed to ‘penetrate government facilities.’”

The report also added that most of those arrested, in addition to having served in the IDF, had “intelligence expertise” and worked for Israeli companies that specialized in wiretapping. Some of those detained were also active members of the Israeli military; and several detainees, including the “Dancing Israelis,” had failed polygraph tests when asked if they had been surveilling the U.S. government.

A key aspect of that report, compiled by journalist Carl Cameron, also states that federal investigators widely suspected that Israeli intelligence had prior knowledge of the September 11 attacks. In the report, Cameron stated:

The Israelis may have gathered intelligence about the attacks in advance and not shared it. A highly placed investigator said there are ‘tie-ins’ but when asked for details he flatly refused to describe them saying: ‘Evidence linking these Israelis to 9-11 is classified. I cannot tell you about the evidence that has been gathered. It is classified information.’”

One exchange between Cameron and host Brit Hume included in the report is particularly telling:

HUME: “Carl, what about this question of advanced knowledge of what was going to happen on 9/11? How clear are investigators that some Israeli agents may have known something?”

CAMERON: “Well it’s very explosive information obviously and there is a great deal of evidence that they say they have collected. None of it necessarily conclusive. It’s more when they put it all together a big question they say is, ‘How could they have not known?’ — almost a direct quote, Brit.”

However, it is essential to note that Israeli intelligence did attempt to warn the U.S. government at least twice beginning in August 2001 as did the intelligence agencies of many other countries, including France, the UK, Egypt, Russia and Jordan. Yet, no people connected to any other intelligence agency other than Israel were caught celebrating the attacks as they took place in the area nor were accused by mainstream media of operating a large spy ring within the U.S. at the time. One theory to explain this discrepancy is that the Mossad elements of which the “Dancing Israelis” and other alleged Israeli spies could have been part of a specific section of Israeli intelligence that were acting independently as a rogue agency. Such a possibility is not unusual given that divisions of or groups within the CIA have been known to “go rogue” on several occasions.

9/11 as a big — and acknowledged — Israeli win

If the “Dancing Israelis”, and more broadly the Mossad and the Israeli government, had foreknowledge of September 11, why would they remain silent and not attempt to warn the American government or public of the coming attacks? In the case of the “Dancing Israelis,” why would Israelis celebrate such an attack?

One of the detained “Dancing Israelis,” Omer Marmari, told police the following about why he viewed the September 11 attacks in a positive light:

Israel now has hope that the world will now understand us. Americans are naïve and America is easy to get inside. There are not a lot of checks in America. And now America will be tougher about who gets into their country.”

While Marmari’s statement may suggest one reason some of the “Dancing Israelis” were so “visibly happy” in their photographs, there are also other statements made by top Israeli politicians that suggest why the Israeli government and its intelligence agency declined to act on apparent foreknowledge of the attack.

When asked, on the day of the 9/11 attacks, how the attacks would affect American-Israeli relations, Benjamin Netanyahu — the current Israeli prime minister — told the New York Times that “It’s very good,” before quickly adding “Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy.” He then predicted, much as Marmari had, that the attacks would “strengthen the bond between our two peoples, because we’ve experienced terror over so many decades, but the United States has now experienced a massive hemorrhaging of terror.”

Netanyahu, in a candid conversation recorded in 2001, also echoed Marmari’s claim that Americans are naïve. In that recording, Netanyahu said:

I know what America is. America is something that can easily be moved. Moved to the right direction. … They won’t get in our way. They won’t get in our way… 80 percent of the Americans support us. It’s absurd.”

In addition, also on the day of the September 11 attacks, Netanyahu — who at the time was not in political office — held a press conference in which he claimed that he had predicted the attacks on the World Trade Center by “militant Islam” in his 1995 book, Fighting Terrorism: How Democracies Can Defeat Domestic and International Terrorism. In that book, Netanyahu had posited that Iranian-linked “militants” would set off a nuclear bomb in the basement of the World Trade Center.

During his press conference on the day of the attacks, Netanyahu also asserted that the 9/11 attacks would be a turning point for America and compared them to the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Netanyahu’s statement echoes the infamous line from the “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” document authored by the neoconservative think tank, the Project for a New Ameican Century (PNAC). That line reads. “Further, the process of transformation [towards a neo-Reaganite foreign policy and hyper-militarism], even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor.”

Then again, years later In 2008, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Netanyahu had stated that the September 11 attacks had greatly benefited Israel. He was quoted as saying: “We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq.”

Indeed, it goes without saying that the aftermath of 9/11 — which involved the U.S. leading a destructive effort throughout the Middle East — has indeed benefited Israel. Many of the U.S.’ post-9/11 “nation-building” efforts have notably mirrored the policy paper “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm,” which was authored by American neoconservatives — PNAC members among them — for Netanyahu’s first term as prime minister.

That document calls for the creation of a “New Middle East” by, among other things, “weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria” and “removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq — an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right.” As is known now, both of those main objectives have since come to pass, each with strong Israeli involvement.

A new bombshell has been dropped which the families of victims are hailing a huge success: FBI court documents inadvertently left a key Saudi embassy official’s name unredacted, revealing one of the government’s most sensitive secrets regarding the September 11 attacks and state sponsorship.

A Yahoo News exclusive reveals, based on what has since been admitted as “a giant screw-up,” the identity of “a mysterious Saudi Embassy official in Washington who agents suspected had directed crucial support to two of the al-Qaida hijackers.”

Ironically the ‘accidental’ release of the information was related to filings by Attorney General William Barr and acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell to get information pertaining to the kingdom’s role in the attacks permanently banned from public access, citing the usual “state secrets” and national security concerns.

The FBI mistakenly revealed the identify of a top Saudi embassy official who had continuing direct contact with individuals involved in running the Los Angeles al-Qaeda terror cell which produced some of the hijackers: his name is Mussaed Ahmed al-Jarrah.

Al-Jarrah was an official diplomat of the Saudi foreign ministry and embassy in D.C. who oversaw Ministry of Islamic Affairs employees at Saudi-funded mosques and Islamic centers throughout the US from 1999 and 2000. Crucially he’s been revealed as a key “link” between the Saudi government and the Los Angeles cell, specifically two terrorists which went on to fly a plane into the Pentagon.

The Yahoo News report describes the huge significance of the Al-Jarrah revelation as follows:

Fahad al-Thumairy, a Saudi Islamic Affairs official and radical cleric who served as the imam of the King Fahd Mosque in Los Angeles and Omar al-Bayoumi, a suspected Saudi government agent who assisted two terrorists, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, who participated in the hijacking of the American Airlines plane that flew into the Pentagon, killing 125.

After the two hijackers flew to Los Angeles on Jan. 15, 2000, al-Bayoumi found them an apartment, lent them money and set them up with bank accounts.

A redacted copy of a three-and-a-half page October 2012 FBI “update” about the investigation stated that FBI agents had uncovered “evidence” that Thumairy and Bayoumi had been “tasked” to assist the hijackers by yet another individual whose name was blacked out, prompting lawyers for the families to refer to this person as “the third man” in what they argue is a Saudi-orchestrated conspiracy.

That “third man” is newly revealed by the FBI ‘mistake’ as Al-Jarrah — believed to have “tasked” intermediaries to assist some among the 9/11 hijackers.

Current and former FBI officials speaking on anonymity have said that top leaders at the bureau have sought to quash this whole investigation from the start. “There were definitely people at FBI headquarters who wanted this closed,” one former official told Yahoo.

The report continues:

Relatively little is known about Jarrah, but according to former embassy employees, he reported to the Saudi ambassador in the United States (at the time Prince Bandar), and that he was later reassigned to the Saudi missions in Malaysia and Morocco, where he is believed to have served as recently as last year.

Jarrah has been on the radar screen of the lawyers for the 9/11 families for some time and is among nine current or former Saudi officials who they suspect have important information about the case and have sought to either question them or get access to FBI documents that mention them.

The families have also tapped former agents to help investigate the activities of the potential witnesses, including Jarrah.

Jarrah “was responsible for the placement of Ministry of Islamic Affairs employees known as guides and propagators posted to the United States, including Fahad Al Thumairy,” according to a separate declaration by Catherine Hunt, a former FBI agent based in Los Angeles who has been assisting the families in the case.

Hunt conducted her own investigation into the support provided to the hijackers in Southern California. “The FBI believed that al-Jarrah was ‘supporting’ and ‘maintaining’ al-Thumairy during the 9/11 investigation,” she said in her declaration.

A spokesman for the 9/11 families whose father was killed in the attacks, Brett Eagleson, said of the Jarrah revelation that ultimately it confirms a Saudi chain of command behind 9/11 which goes direct to the Saudi embassy in D.C.

“It demonstrates there was a hierarchy of command that’s coming from the Saudi Embassy to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs [in Los Angeles] to the hijackers,” Eagleson said.

And no doubt there’s still a mountain of evidence kept secret by the US government concerning the real 9/11 story. At this point we’re still surely at the mere tip of the iceberg as the official narrative continues to unravel even by the mainstream media’s belated admission (whereas in prior years any critical approach to official Washington’s 9/11 mythology got one dismissed as ‘conspiracy theorist’ and ‘truther’ etc..).

Given the 9/11 lawsuit driven by victims’ families is nowhere near finished, it is likely to slowly chip away and wrest more damning information from the feds.

In a series of filings just before a midnight court deadline on Monday, the attorney general, William Barr; the acting director of national intelligence, Richard Grenell; and other senior officials insisted to a federal judge in the civil case that further disclosures about Saudi connections to the 9/11 plot would imperil national security.

But the administration insisted in court filings that even its justification for that secrecy needed to remain secret. Four statements to the court by FBI and Justice Department officials were filed under seal so they could not be seen by the public. An additional five, including one from the CIA, were shared only with the judge and cannot be read even by the plaintiffs’ lawyers.

Barr insisted to the court that public discussion of the issue “would reveal information that could cause the very harms my assertion of the state secrets privilege is intended to prevent.”

What the various security agencies are trying to hide remains a mystery.

Since the plaintiffs filed their lawsuit in federal district court in New York in 2017, their primary focus has been on the relationship between the hijackers and relatively low-level Saudi officials. Those include at least two Saudis who crossed paths in Southern California with the first two Al Qaeda operatives who were sent to the United States by Osama bin Laden in January 2000.

Yet the broad outlines of the hijackers’ connections to those two Saudi officials — a diplomat at the kingdom’s Los Angeles consulate and a suspected Saudi spy living as an exchange student in San Diego — have been publicly known for years. The FBI shared thousands of pages of its files on the plot with the bipartisan 9/11 Commission, which explored them in its 2004 report.

“The extraordinary lengths that they’re going to here suggest that there must be some deep, dark secret that they’re still trying very hard to hide after almost 20 years,” said a lawyer for the families, Steven Pounian. “But who are they protecting? Something might be a Saudi government secret. But how can these be secrets that still need to be kept from the American people after all this time?”

The Justice Department has declassified some information about the Saudi role in 9/11 and shared it with lawyers for the plaintiffs under a protective order that allows them to read it but not make it public. But the department has not asked the lawyers to obtain security clearances to view other material, as is fairly common in national security cases involving American and foreign citizens whose constitutional rights are at issue.

The chorus of senior national security officials who wrote in support of the Trump administration’s secrets claim appeared to respond in part to Justice Department guidelines set down by the Obama administration in 2009. Those rules were intended to restrain overly aggressive use of the privilege, which the administration of George W. Bush had often cited after 9/11 to block legal challenges to its policies on torture, extraordinary rendition and warrantless surveillance.

Barr cited those more restrictive guidelines in his statement to the district court, noting that they prohibited the government from asserting a state secrets claim in order to conceal illegalities or potential embarrassment. He assured the magistrate judge in the case, Sarah Netburn, that those guidelines had been met.

At a ceremonial gathering at the White House last Sept. 11, representatives of the families of those killed in the attacks repeatedly asked Trump for fuller access to the FBI’s secret files in the case. According to more than a half-dozen people who were at the meeting, he assured several of them he would help.

“He looked us in the eye on 9/11, he shook our hands in the White House and said, ‘I’m going to help you — it’s done,’” recalled one of those present, Brett Eagleson, a banker whose father was killed in the World Trade Center. “I think the 9/11 families have lost all hope that the president is going to step up and do the right thing. He’s too beholden to the Saudis.”

The White House press office did not immediately respond Wednesday to a request for comment on the families’ characterizations of the meeting. One day after that encounter, Justice Department officials agreed to release the name of one mid-level Saudi religious official who had been tied to the case in an FBI document that had been partially declassified earlier. At the same time, however, Barr asserted the state secrets privilege to protect other FBI documents sought by the families. The latest flurry of statements supporting that claim responded to challenges from the plaintiffs.

Although the close alliance between the United States and the Saudi kingdom has survived countless moments of tension, it has frayed in recent months in ways that could prove helpful to plaintiffs in the 9/11 lawsuit.

In recent weeks, Republican senators from states that have been hard hit by the collapse of world oil prices have criticized the Saudi government with growing intensity. On March 25, before the Trump administration negotiated a cut in Saudi oil production, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska cited the law under which the 9/11 families were allowed to sue the Saudi government as one of the levers of pressure that the United States could use if the kingdom did not take account of American concerns.

In a letter on Monday, three other influential senators asked the Justice Department’s inspector general to examine in depth why the FBI has refused to disclose more information about Saudi connections to the plot in response to a subpoena filed by the 9/11 families in 2018.

Those senators, Charles Grassley, the Iowa Republican, and two Democrats, minority leader Charles Schumer of New York and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, cited a recent investigative report by ProPublica and The New York Times Magazine that raised new questions about the FBI’s inquiry into the Saudi role in the attacks.

“The September 11 attacks represent a singular and defining tragedy in the history of our Nation,” the senators wrote to the Justice Department inspector general, Michael Horowitz. “Nearly 20 years later, the 9/11 families and the American public still have not received the full and transparent accounting of the potential sources of support for those attacks to which they are entitled.”

I want to shift our focus onto some of the other things that are happening in this world that you deserve to know.

One of the biggest things that happened this week that are being massively underreported by the mainstream media is the fact that Syria has won the war against ISIS.

Bashar al-Assad is the clear victor. Something that we’ve been telling you was going to happen for over a year ago now. The Syrian government with an alliance of the Chinese, Russians, Iranians, and Hezbollah have defeated the rebel groups inside of Syria.

Those rebels that were supported by Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. We’ve been saying that this was going to happen for over a year now on this YouTube channel.

However, there’s still many present dangers brewing in the Middle East that we’ve been discussing this week. With ISIS destroyed in Syria, we are seeing Israel launch airstrikes on the Syrian government and Bashar al-Assad’s forces.

Many people are calling this is an act of desperation. The bigger geopolitical goals of the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Israel have failed in the region. They have been unable to achieve regime change in Syria and now face a more Iranian influence in the Middle East.

Israel is doing everything in its power to prevent this including the possibility of starting another war in the region just as this one is ending. Thursday in the early morning Israel attacked a Syrian military base which made the Syrian government responded by warning of serious repercussions. The attack reportedly killed two people.

Most importantly the attack comes just two weeks after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Vladimir Putin to discuss the future of Syria. According to many accounts, the meeting was very contentious with Israel stating that they would not tolerate an Iranian presence in Syria. The Israelis threatened to assassinate Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by bombing his palace. They also tried to derail the U.S. and Russian brokered de-escalation deal. According to Russian news accounts, the Israeli Prime Minister was frantic, emotional and “at times even close to panic.” This puts the United States in a tough geopolitical situation as US and Syrian forces are about to collide in the same territory where ISIS was just destroyed.

This is all happening on the heels of Israeli troops getting ready and entering the Golan heights region which is a contested territorial land between Israel and Syria.

Israel has stated that they did this to prevent a chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government against the civilian population. They said they were, “protecting civilians by launching this preemptive attack” but in reality, there is a bigger geopolitical purpose.

They are motivated to avoid fully losing the war in Syria. We warned you about this on August 25th, 2017 in a video titled “Who is Jared Kushner And Why We Should All Worry.”

We went into great detail about how Jared Kushner was sent to Israel by Donald Trump. His purpose was not to negotiate a peace deal with the Palestinians and Israelis but to negotiate the future fate of Syria. We thought this would lead to further military conflict in the region and that is what we see right now. It wasn’t myself just saying this it was also Syrian girl who released a video on August 27th predicting that this would happen and it did.

In other disastrous Middle East news, we have the U.S. ally Saudi Arabia which Fox News reported yesterday allegedly funded a dry run for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

This comes from a new lawsuit against Saudi Arabia.

It is not news because in July of 2016 shortly after the 28 pages from the 9/11 report were declassified we learned about this information. We reported it to you even though many the declassified pages were redacted.

The story was downplayed in part because of the coup d’etat that happened in Turkey.

With the 9/11 anniversary happening tomorrow it’s important for everyone to understand the relationships between the intelligence agencies of Israel, the United States and Saudi Arabia and how they work together. There is substantial evidence backing the claim that they either let 9/11 happen or made it happen. I spent years talking about this and investigating. With tomorrow being the anniversary expect more coverage on this issue from us.

I think it should be clear that the only thing allowing the United States to have world hegemony is the war industry. The United States is spending more on defense than the next eight countries combined.

When our only tool is a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail. We’re getting more news this week of the United States sending 3,500 extra troops to Afghanistan.

This deployment shows you that it is not a drawdown like other alternative media personalities are trying to tell you. It is a further continuation of the same failed U.S. military foreign policy.

We are also getting more news in which China warns Trump that China will back North Korea if the United States strikes first.

We told you this was happening behind the scenes in a video we did three days ago called “China’s Gold New World Order” six days ago. Also in a video called “The Hidden Truth About North Korea” and in many other videos. The reality that we’ve been warning about has started. It looks like a nuclear North Korea is here to stay which underlines a bigger problem for the United States.

That is the supremacy of the U.S. petrodollar which took another hit this week. Venezuela announced it’s about to ditch the US dollar and start using the currencies of Russia, China, India, and the European Union, any currency except for the US dollar. My response to this is to keep an eye out for another Venezuelan coup. We will continue to observe this here on this YouTube channel.

In other horrible corporatocracy news, we have the credit reporting service Equifax which was recently compromised. The information of a hundred and forty-three million U.S. customers was compromised. After discovering that all of their customer’s private information was hacked, they chose to wait on that information. Three Equifax senior executives sold company shares worth almost 1.8 million dollars.

They waited some 41 days with your information compromised for their corporate benefit. Leaving you screwed and in the dark as they rushed to cover their ass-ets. That’s just accepted business practice now and will likely have little consequence for them.

Just like corporate spying on your competition which Uber was caught doing in a federal investigation. They were spying on their competitors Lyft drivers.

More unethical business practices by a company partly owned by Google and Goldman Sachs.

Google which is just becoming more tyrannical by the day. The company that owns YouTube just removed a video of a former British politician Nigel Farage speaking about immigration and Islam.

They deleted mainstream political speech. Supposedly because of YouTube’s policy on “hate speech.”

It should be blatantly obvious that there is no longer true freedom of speech, freedom of privacy or any freedom at all from this CIA dominated corporation. An organization that is intentionally becoming integral in our daily lives. It has the most valuable resource of all and that, of course, is your information. I’ve been warning you about this for years now. Until we stop using and empowering these awful monopolies and corporations, they will continue to influence our lives, and we face the repercussions of this.

He wanted to talk to Angelo mainly because he doesn’t tell you things that you want to hear. Angelo has pissed-off people in the white nationalist community, as well as both pro and anti-Trump, he is also a US Marine Corps War vet. He’s been there, he’s seen it on the ground, and he’s been making important videos telling people exactly what’s happening. Angelo doesn’t go soft; he tells you exactly how he sees it.

Luke: Angelo, I wanted to talk to you about all these things that are happening, unlike a lot of the other popular social media figures who are pro-Trump you held Trump’s feet to the fire. You were one of the few people who didn’t placate for views and fame. You told people the hard truth whether they wanted to hear it or not. People were angry with you, just like people are angry at me for calling out Donald Trump when he bombed the Syrian air base. When he took down that Syrian airplane when he was doing things that were incredibly horrible towards world peace and the future of Syria. Now with the latest developments that just happened between Trump and Putin what do you take from these latest meetings?

Angelo John Gage:

Well, I like Putin, starting with back in 2013 when ‘apparently’ Assad gassed his own people. Putin was like wait, let’s just hold on for a second. While John Kerry was pushing for war, Putin said let’s send people in there, let’s see what is going on, let’s take away those weapons. So I liked Putin for that, he’s not the kind of person that just goes in, and begins to bomb everybody to show off the strength of a country.

Trump Supporters often claim that Trump is playing 4D chess, which is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. I like Putin; he is a chess player. I like that we can work with Russia, why are crazy liberals or leftists against world peace. We’re not at war with Russia yet, that’s great, I don’t want World War Three with any country. I’ve been to war twice, so to all of these people who are playing Call of Duty, who want to go to war should know. Nobody wins in a war, the politicians might, the special interest groups do, the globalists and the bankers will, but the soldiers, the children and the families who are obliterated don’t. I got PTSD, a lot of my friends came back messed up, some of them never came home. War is not something that’s good, we should always avoid it, but the special interests they want war and are glad to see it. I’m hopeful to see two world powers, get together and hopefully do something good, get rid of ISIS.

Luke:

It does seem like there was a shift at that G20 meeting but it is difficult to determine what is going on. If you look at US defense spending, they spend almost as much as the other ten highest countries in this world. More than China, more than Russia, more than the UK, Japan, France, Saudi Arabia, India, Germany, Italy, and Brazil combined.

If you look at the United States as a country we’ve been at war, for almost 220 years, the country is only 241 years old. One interesting factor thing in this whole game with ISIS is that there is so much information missing from the mainstream dialogue.

I have one chart up here showing you all the countries that ISIS operates in, all the countries that are against U.S. foreign policy objectives. Look at what happened in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Kurdistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan, all of them have been targets of ISIS. While other countries like Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, and Kuwait who have co-operated with the United States, those countries don’t have ISIS destroying their nation.

There’s a bigger scheme here, with the policies of George W. Bush, Barack Obama and now with Donald Trump. Trump has continued some of those failed, horrible policies. What are some of the bigger truths for you, when it comes to the bigger geopolitical picture that we’re all dealing with? What do you think people need to know more about?

Angelo:

You know Israel is very powerful, it’s a very small country, if you criticize the government of Israel or some other country you are called an anti-Semitic or an Islamophobe. That would be like criticizing Nigeria and being told you’re racist. It’s not the case, and we all know it. If you listen to the UN reports Israel, Qatar, all of our allies are funding these different rebels, including the United States. Yes, rebel groups and AIPAC is a powerful lobby with the US Government, and there are other lobbies from other countries. Look at the Saudis they’re very powerful. Trump’s giving them four hundred billion dollars in weapons, what do you think they’re doing with those.

It’s interesting, WikiLeaks posted that Qatar and Saudi Arabia are clandestinely funding ISIS. Trump gives them four hundred billion in arms, where are those arms going? It’s important to see that our allies are involved, there’s interest in the Middle East with many different alliances. We’re spending our tax dollars supporting their air forces, which are shooting down planes that are taking on ISIS.

Israeli government officials have come out and admitted that they’d committed war crimes, in Palestine. The U.S. has also committed war crimes, which is one of the reasons why I woke up. When I got back from the second tour in Iraq, I was just googling things when I learned that we were dropping white phosphorus in Fallujah. They say we are looking for chemical weapons, but when you see the pictures of corpses that are completely toasted black skeletons, you change your perspective. The Israelis do that in Palestine, and Saudi Arabia is doing it right now in Yemen.

So we’re using this nonchemical weapon that burns you to a crisp when it touches your skin. I’m thinking ‘wait I thought we were the good guys,’ so I started questioning Iraq and then 9/11, that’s where I started. I started going through everything, asking about everything and watching all the videos. I started researching all of this, and I got into different types of politics.

I pissed off every group the SPLC, white nationalist, leftist Trump supporters, and one of the reasons why I pissed off Trump supporters Luke is because everyone voted for Trump. Now when I saw him and what he was saying during the campaign that we’re going to bomb the hell out of ISIS. I thought awesome; we’re going to make America great and rebuild the wall, all these wonderful things. No more globalism, that’s what I wanted to hear and what did he do. He launched Tomahawk missiles into Syria without investigation, a sovereign country who’s fighting ISIS.

That was it for me; he just killed people. This man killed people just to show strength. We’re the only country on planet earth that has ever nuked civilian targets. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were civilians heart we nuked them. I mean everyone knows we’re crazy, even Obama was droning people the whole time. It’s not defense spending, I say it’s offense, it’s offensive, we’re spreading our bases all over the world. We keep creeping in, killing Qaddafi, killing Saddam, were they great people, I don’t know. Apparently, Libya was amazing under Qaddafi. Saddam maybe he was a little mean, I don’t know, but all we do is a regime change. We do it for special interests, for our allies, while you and I pay for it all, it’s terrible.

Luke:

There are the drone strikes that Barack Obama conducted, including the one that killed a 16-year-old American citizen. Donald Trump carried out an attack recently that was planned by Obama and it killed an eight-year-old American girl. You see Trump colluding with Henry Kissinger, and continue the same policies of Barack Obama. I have sounded the alarm for some time, and people hate me for it as you know if you’ve been watching my YouTube channel.

I don’t hate any group of people; I am not racist, I am not anti-Semitic. However, I do not like governments who abuse their authority. Like when Israel decides to bomb Syrian government forces that are fighting radical Islamic terrorists. These same rebel groups that Israel provides support to, that they take care of in the Golan Heights region. I’m reporting this news, but other press is afraid to go that far because they’re concerned about being labeled. It’s common sense, we speak the truth, not to placate an audience, not for fame, not for money because you deserve it. We don’t care about this outside society, and that’s why I wanted to have you on Angelo. Your one of the people who has been holding their feet to the fire, one of the people who are not afraid to be critical of them. In this media game, if you want to be successful, you pick a side, a gang, an affiliation. If you stick to that side, the other will hate you, but supporters will follow you and defend you. You will get the greatest number of followers but guess what, that dichotomy I believe is breaking down, the truth is somewhere in the middle. It is gray, it is not just black and white, there are bigger ramifications, there are bigger things that we all need to understand.

The way you came about this was from a very personal experience; you went through it, you saw it. Is there anything else you want to share, about the journey that you have been on whether it’s waking up or speaking the truth and having people being mad at you. What sticks out to you the most from this journey that you have been on?

Angelo:

I started with Fallujah then I learned about World War Two and the banking system. I ended up watching David Icke; he’s got a very spiritual approach to things. I got into everything; I read all these different books and groups then I realized that everything was about picking sides. It’s all left or right no matter what, race, religion, and politics. Meanwhile these globalists, they’re all over the place, they’re all one big agenda, they’re all different people working together to control everyone. They want us in these boxes, these categories, where we fight over all of these petty problems, and they manipulate us. I realized it’s all just good versus evil.

If you are a good person, I don’t care what color you are, or where you are from. We have to work together to stop evil people. The evil people are a minority on the planet; we have the power to do it. My journey was going through all these different realities and different truths. There are a lot of them, they are very deep, but it’s ultimately irrelevant to the bigger picture.

We have to take action because you could sit there and read a thousand books. It’s like if you were a surgeon, you go to medical school, but you never performed a single surgery. What if you never take action in the real world, then you’re not a surgeon, your just one on paper. I got addicted to reading conspiracy theories and information, and I didn’t do anything with it other than to make some videos, I had to start taking political action.

When Trump bombed Syria, my heart broke. Imagine going to war twice, thinking your there to save these people. There are children; I would throw them water, they were thirsty and starving, we weren’t supposed to do it. Then coming back home, being thanked for your service, then learning that it was all nonsense, it was all a lie.

Then I busted my ass to get Trump elected. I was in all the chat rooms; we were destroying the narratives. I’m in there with people who are making up new hashtags; that trend like crazy. I am busting my rump getting people to vote for Trump, including my family, everyone I know. Then he ordered the Syrian Tomahawk attack, and my heart just snapped it, just broke.

So now I am trying to hold Trump accountable, for what he’s done. So either Trump’s in on it or he’s just too naive, or he’s playing 4D chess.

Luke:

We’re on the brink of World War 3, it’s ridiculous, it makes no sense at all.

Angelo:

A lot of people have become famous because of Trump, many pundits, that have all these followers, they don’t want to go against him. It’s not about Trump; we could make America great again with or without him, there’s almost a cult of personality with him.

Here comes Trump from out of nowhere, he’s not part of the establishment, he kicked everybody’s ass in his first try, becomes president, it was the greatest victory. I remember watching the election waiting for him to win, we got our country back.

A lot of people have this faith in things; they don’t even care if the person comes through or not, they just live in a fantasy world. While we are here in the real world. That’s why when people say let’s just turn the Middle East into a sheet of glass, which pisses me off. There are people there and children. The people that are saying these things, they haven’t been to war. I’ve been there it’s horrendous, it changes your life, it will mess you up.

I’m susceptible to it; I won’t even watch a war movie. I can’t watch “Saving Private Ryan,” I will be crying. I’ll tell you straight up; it’s because they make it very real looking, you know you lose people, one second you’re talking to a guy, the next second his head’s gone. There are people that want us to go to war, war hawks like, Madeline Albright former Secretary of State who said that Iraq was worth the 500,000 dead children. Think how many stadiums you could fill with their dead bodies. These people are cold-blooded, psychopaths, they are mentally insane.

They are a minority, so we are the majority, but they have a great way of playing on our tribalistic ways. You can be part of a particular race and be proud and happy and your parentage. I’m all for identity, I’m all for protecting yourself, and your people and culture and everything. You can’t allow yourself to be manipulated over pride; it’s okay to be happy. You have to work together with people, who are on the same side as you, even though they might not look like you, they might not quite think like you, but they’re under attack as well.

The globalists are doing this whole thing of picking us off one by one, you know let’s pit this group against that one, it’s all divide and conquer. Eventually, they will try to destroy us all. We need to convince other groups, that while we may have different views on things, we’re all under attack and we need to help each other out.

Even the Republicans and Democrats they’re all pretty much on the same team, we pick a side, we vote for who we want, we argue about the small things that don’t matter.

What about the Federal Reserve, what about the income tax of 30%, every four years you work for a year for free. Our forefathers had a revolution over 3% tea tax. Meanwhile, we’re getting taxed to death, and they are making up theories about global warming, that it’s our fault, it’s not the sun.

Nobody cares because it’s all a big dog and pony show, it’s all bread and circus’s, we got our gadgets our Netflix, our cars that talk to us, our phones are smarter than us. It’s like what Alex Jones says, that it’s a technocracy.

There’s a lot of attention towards drama, should this civil disobedience be done this way or that way. Hang on, wait a minute; there are people dying in Yemen and Syria because of horrible foreign policy decisions. People don’t want to see that; there is a lot of money to me made, there’s a lot of clicks, there’s fame, ego, and pride. Instead of caring about everyone in this world, they care more about themselves or their group or their gang or their affiliation and the material things they are tied to. These people just get me mad. That’s why I’m so happy, that there are people like yourself.

I just wanted to leave you with the last question, we know it’s down to just love and fear, that’s the two basic dichotomies, how do you see things going in the future especially with Donald Trump as our president and with the situation in Syria?

I hope that have some agreement where they stop mingling in Syria. I hope that Trump keeps his word and bombs the hell out of ISIS. I hope he is really playing 4D chess and just playing everyone. I think Putin knows what he’s doing, so I have more hope for Putin. I hope Trump delivers; I’m not going to worship him if he says he is going to do something than I am holding him accountable.

If Trump is naive or being deceived maybe he will stop doing it. It’s up to us to be vigilant and keep the pressure on the people that work for us. We like the guy; he is really funny, he makes funny jokes. However, that’s how you get seduced, and it becomes a cult of personality. Then you let him slide for killing people. There has to be justice in this world, without it, we are just animals.

We have to be more than that, so my message Luke is that, yes it’s fear and love. We’ve got to start loving ourselves enough and respect each other, so we don’t have this new world order elitism trample us.

We don’t have any self-respect because we’re sellouts. We don’t hold our leaders to their promises because were too comfortable. I would rather fight to the death than be enslaved, that’s just me.

Peter Michael Ketcham, who, from 1997 until 2011, worked in NIST’s High Performance Systems and Services Division and later in the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Division, described becoming furious as he read the agency’s reports for the first time earlier this year.

“The NIST I knew,” he wrote, “was intellectually open, non-defensive, and willing to consider competing explanations. The more I investigated, the more apparent it became that NIST had reached a predetermined conclusion by ignoring, dismissing, and denying the evidence.”

According to AE911Truth, Mr Ketcham’s rebuke of his former employer’s study is “the first time anyone with ties to the agency has challenged its conclusion that fires were the cause”, although the agency’s two reports have been the subject of major controversy since their release in 2005 and 2008, respectively.

A contingent of engineers, architects, veteran firefighters and other experts, along with a significant percentage of the public, have long argued that the WTC buildings’ demise was caused by explosives planted in the buildings and not by the airplane crashes.

Europhysics News featured Mr. Ketcham’s letter (page 43 of the current issue), as well as a statement from NIST, following the magazine’s August publication of a controversial feature article by two engineers, a physicist, and a senior staff member of the AE911Truth organization. The article, “15 years later: On the physics of high-rise building collapses,” has been downloaded over 350,000 times, according to the website.

Mr. Ketcham cited the widely read article as an example of the growing awareness of “the disconnect between the NIST WTC reports and logical reasoning.” He ended his letter by calling on NIST to “blow the whistle on itself now while there is still time.”

The former NIST employee has told AE911Truth that he will continue voicing his perspective and publicly advocating for a re-investigation into the tragic events of 9/11.

Notable figures who have dared to question the “official” 9/11 narrative include Morgan Reynolds, Former Chief Economist under President George W. Bush.

Reynolds has said that the official story about the collapse of the WTC is “bogus” and that it is more likely that a controlled demolition destroyed the Twin Towers and the adjacent Building No. 7.

“If demolition destroyed three steel skyscrapers at the World Trade Center on 9/11, then the case for an ‘inside job’ and a government attack on America would be compelling,” Dr Reynolds said.

Reynolds, now a professor emeritus at Texas A&M University, also said it’s “next to impossible” that nineteen Arab terrorists were able to outsmart the mighty U.S. military, adding scientific conclusions about the WTC collapse may hold the key to the entire mysterious plot behind 9/11. Reynolds claims explosives and structural experts have been intimidated in their analyses of the 9/11 collapses

The House is now considering a bill to “fix” JASTA when they return from recess after the election. House Speaker Paul Ryan validly expressed concerns about service members potentially facing lawsuits in other nations as it currently stands.

“So I’d like to think that there’s a way we could fix so that our service members do not have legal problems overseas, while still protecting the rights of the 9/11 victims, which is what JASTA did do,” Ryan said in a statement to the press on Thursday.

Likewise, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell admitted that they didn’t really think this thing through when they overrode President Obama’s veto. It is mildly hard to believe that these lawmakers were unaware of consequences however, as they were widely reported in almost every media outlet, even if they did not do their own homework.

“Nobody really had focused on the potential downside in terms of our international relationships,” McConnell told USA Today. “I think it was just a ball dropped.”

McConnell also stated that he blames Obama for not expressing his concerns with the current wording sooner. Perhaps he just meant, he wasn’t sure how strongly our buddies in Saudi Arabia would react.

“I hate to blame everything on him. And I don’t,” he said. “But it would have been helpful had we had a discussion about this much earlier than last week.”

Immediately following the vote, the White House called the override the  “most embarrassing” thing the US Senate has ever done.

The White House also responded to the late concerns over consequences by saying that ignorance is not an excuse — although some may argue that there have been mixed signals being sent on that issue, given Hillary Clinton’s lack of charges over her email server.

“I think what we’ve seen in the United States Congress is a pretty classic case of rapid onset buyer’s remorse,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said. “It’s hard to take at face value the suggestion that somehow they were unaware of the consequences of their vote. But even if they were, what’s true in elementary school is true in the United States Congress, ignorance is not an excuse, particularly when it comes to our national security and the safety and security of our diplomats and our service members.“

The “buyers remorse” came the morning after Saudi royals condemned the vote, and warned of “serious unintended consequences.”

JASTA applies to any act of terrorism on US soil, but the primary focus has been on Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks which left roughly 3,000 people dead.

“The erosion of sovereign immunity will have a negative impact on all nations, including the United States,” Riyadh said in a statement on Thursday. The kingdom further stated that it hopes Congress will work “to avoid the serious unintended consequences that may ensue.”

JASTA is intended to allow for victims and the families of the 2001 attacks to sue the Saudi government. Riyadh has denied funding the terrorists who attacked the World Center and killed nearly 3,000 people, despite 15 of the 19 hijackers being Saudi Arabian nationals.

While Saudi Arabia hates the bill, and lobbied hard against it, the American public is overwhelmingly in favor of it — as it currently stands.

“Reflecting the desire to keep the public placated, while at the same time giving in to Saudi demands, Sens Bob Corker (R – TN) and Lindsey Graham (R – SC) both indicated that the ‘fixes’ would be implemented after the November elections, during the lame duck session,” Antiwar.com reported.

So for now, the bill is law, but after the elections it will be watered down to nothing to please the Saudi’s instead of the American people.
