President Donald Trump is on the witness list for a civil trial involving a Florida attorney who represents convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein‘s alleged victims.
Trump is included on a witness list filed on August 31, 2016.
Court records claim that Epstein sexually assaulted more than two dozen young girls on numerous occasions between 2002 and 2005 at his mansion in West Palm Beach, Florida.
While there is no evidence that Trump himself was involved in the abuse, “Trump and Epstein have acknowledged that they were friends, that they have socialized together. We have reason to believe that Trump was a guest in Epstein’s home during the period of time that Epstein was engaged in molestation,” according to Florida attorney Bradley Edwards who previously represented several of Epstein’s alleged victims in another civil case.
“President Donald Trump has been identified as an individual who may have information relating to these allegations,” attorney Jack Scarola told LawNewz.com
According to Scarola, they have evidence “that at least one of the now (former) employees at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club were recruited by Epstein’s agent to be involved in the child sex trafficking ring.”
Additionally Virginia Roberts, an alleged victim of Epstein’s, “was recruited to perform a massage for Epstein while working as a $9-per-hour locker room attendant at Mar-A-Lago.”
Trump and Epstein were once friends, according to a 2003 story in New York Magazine, which reported that Trump had dined at Epstein’s Upper East Side home during a dinner for thirty people but Trump ate with the cook, not the rest of the party, according to Epstein’s former houseman Juan Aless.
Alessi testified that Trump would come over to Epstein’s home for dinner — though he added that Trump “never sat at the table” but instead ate “with me in the kitchen.”
Alessi is the same houseman that released Epstein’s “little black book” which he stole from his former employer in 2004. The book, nicknamed “The Holy Grail” revealed the name of Donald Trump and listed “14 phone numbers including emergency numbers, car numbers, and numbers to Trump’s security guard and houseman.”
In another deposition, Epstein’s brother Mark testified that he once flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane with both him and Trump, who were “friends.” Asked why Trump was on board, Mark Epstein replied, “You’ll have to ask Donald. I think he wanted a ride back to New York.”
Epstein served in a segregated, wing of the county stockade and “was let out on work release six days a week for up to 16 hours a day,” the Palm Beach Daily News reported.
In 2007, federal prosecutors, ironically under the leadership of Trump’s current Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta (who was a U.S. Attorney at the time), quietly entered into a secret non-prosecution agreement with the billionaire which ensured that Epstein and his ‘co-conspirators’ would not be prosecuted federally in exchange for Epstein’s guilty plea to state charges. Basically, Epstein got a slap on the wrist and served 13 months in a Florida prison and home detention for solicitation and procurement of minors for prostitution.
Trump also once told New York Magazine that “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life,” Adding “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy.”
Trump’s attorney Alan Garten told VICE News in January that Mr. Trump has “no relationship” with Epstein other than the Democratic donor frequenting Trump’s Mar-A-Lago. “A lot of people hung out there, including Jeffrey Epstein that is the only connection.”
President Donald Trump condemned international and domestic human trafficking last month, signing into law an executive order that would give the FBI extra powers to enforce the law against human trafficking and traffickers stating that they would get them all.
Will Trump go after Epstein and his pals?
Scarola said the chances are “very low” that Trump would be called as a witness at the trial.
“There are, as you might imagine, substantial hurdles in calling a sitting US president and we don’t want any further delays on this case,” he said.
