Why is fluoride – an industrial waste from the phosphate and aluminum mining industries – added to public water? How much money would Denver save by stopping this input?
On February 11, 2015, individuals from We Are Change Colorado returned to the Denver Water Board to ask questions and share information about the input of fluoride into water.
“Bottom line Denver Water will continue to follow the recommendations of these organizations (ADA, CDC, WHO).” – Greg Austin, Denver Water Board President
“I’d also like to thank you for coming and speaking. And also a couple of you mentioned information that seemed more current than when the last time we were together. If you could leave us copies of that, with our staff so they can look at it and brief us on it, I’d just appreciate it. Things change a lot quickly, so if there’s more research or information, I’d appreciate having access to that. Thank you.” – Penfield Tate III, Vice President of Denver Water Board
In 2014, the Lancet Medical Journal reclassified fluoride as a neurotoxin and Israel passed a country-wide ban on the input of fluoride. Many local communities around the US have united to remove fluoride from their water, with varying levels of success. We can do this in Denver!
Will you help us unite the community on this issue?
