Amid all the chaos, it has become increasingly difficult to retain a portion of sanity. It is easy to fall down the trap of getting lost and disheartened amongst the abundance of false news narratives, violent riots, and the total division of the nation. To that end, I’d like to offer you a few points of advice on how to stay sane following these events, and on how to remain hopeful for a future of unity:

Don’t believe the mainstream media: Headlines aim to invoke strong reactions. This is largely achieved by stating false, or whitewashed information. It’s important to stay level headed, think rationally, and remain skeptical of the things you read. More often than not, there is a hidden—or blatant, depending on how lazy the outlet is in attempting to hide their bias—intent behind the way a news story is presented. The mainstream media will always pick a side and remain partisan in favor of a particular political party and agenda. Therefore, the content that is shown to you will almost always be cherry-picked and biased. Particular media outlets will appeal to different demographics with a certain majority view point. Be aware that just because BuzzFeed reports “Oh my god! Trump is literally Hitler! White males are so toxic!” does not mean it’s accurate or true in the slightest. If we believed everything BuzzFeed reported, we’d all be cowering messes rocking in the corner, too afraid to walk outside in case we see gum on the ground and get “totally triggered” by the fact that this reflects the size of our tiny brains.

There is no excuse for violence based on political differences: It comes down to the fact that simply because you hold an opposing political view, this does not in any way justify or solicit acts of violence against those who do not agree with you. Regardless of the strength of your belief, using physical violence against anyone who disagrees is only counterproductive to your cause. It delegitimizes your view and will ring with nothing but connotations of inhumanity and dread. It’s all too easy to get caught up in a collective hive of one thought within mass protests, to succumb to violence amid the passion of your cause, but it will never achieve anything worthwhile and will most likely result in backfire against the questionable ethics of your ideology.

Know what you’re fighting for. Know why you subscribe to a certain view point: On countless occasions, protesters have vigorously proclaimed intense fervor towards a subject, and are eager to shout their opinions. However, upon further inspection, it’s clear that when they’re away from the masses—which act as reinforcement offering them safe spaces to crawl back into—and are politely questioned, they have no real knowledge of their cause or what they’re protesting about. Therefore, if you’re wanting to express your views publicly, it’s crucial that you have a broad and deep understanding of the topic, that your argument can stand up to scrutiny, and that you acknowledge you’ll probably experience backlash.

Stay inquisitive, expose yourself to different opinions: Staying inside an echo chamber of similar opinions will only give you a one-sided view of the world. While you might strongly believe in your view, it’s essential to step outside of that circle of thought  and to achieve a wider scope of knowledge. Talk to people, have productive discussions, and hopefully you’ll gain an understanding as to why they have their views. Although circumstances may appear more and more bleak in terms of engaging in peaceful debate, if we start with individuals, and build an open, free and diverse environment for dialogue, as opposed to violently screeching into each others ears and causing further division, hopefully we’ll see progress.

To conclude, 2016 was an interesting year for all of us, to say the least. However, there were some fundamentally vital life lessons we can take away from it. It’s important to remember that while we may have different views, we’re all human beings sharing this planet together. We’re all striving to better ourselves and the lives of others. The better we can communicate and collaborate together, the more chance we have of successfully bettering everyone universally. Wishful thinking? Maybe. But if nothing else, I hope these points have brought a little more humanity into the sphere of politics, and have given you some useful inspiration on how to survive all the weird and wonderful events that may occur in 2017.

After months of rigorous campaigning from both Trump and Clinton, Donald J. Trump has been officially declared President-elect of the United States.

However, as to be expected, the ‘tolerant liberals’ have taken to the streets to violently protest and riot against this victory. So triggered by the fact that their paradigm of censorship, a sugar coated reality and their wishes for the continuation of a status quo government have been shattered.

The phrase ‘Love Trumps Hate’ has become incredibly ironic, given that the almost all of the hatefulness and violence has been initiated by Hillary’s minions harassing and physically harming Trump supporters throughout this election cycle, and only increased in severity since the start of the Trump protests.

When interviewed by CNN, a protester alarmingly went so far as to state that “there will be casualties on both sides, there will be, because people have to die to make a change in this world.” Clearly inciting extreme violence and exemplifying the intolerance of the ‘progressive’ left for any diversity of opinion. It has also just been reported that on Saturday morning a man had been shot during an anti-Trump protest on Morrison Bridge in Portland. Luckily his injuries are not life-threatening.

Hillary Clinton lost the election, and with this, the Democrats’ dream of a society which panders to a politically correct agenda and suppresses freedom of speech has been diminished if not destroyed. The countless tactics and lies told about Trump and his supporters failed to manipulate voters. The people of America rightfully distrusted the mainstream media, their polls showed Trump could have never succeeded, yet here we are, with Trump having won electoral votes by a clear margin.

In an article by The Washington Post on Thursday, Asra Q. Nomani, a female Muslim immigrant, explains why she voted for Trump, and rejected the lies told by the left to smear Trump’s name. Stating very accurately that we’re seeing a “liberal honor brigade” that is “shutting up and silencing people who disagree,” Nomani also stated that “the liberals and the left have really betrayed America” when it comes to addressing real and prominent issues.

As the results began to come in from each state, it became more and more evident that a Trump presidency was likely. States like Pennsylvania, with a history of voting Democrat, went Republican. Like we’ve seen with Brexit, this momentous victory for Trump marks a populist uprising against a system run by corrupt career politicians who have provided nothing for the citizens of America for so long. The American people have taken a stance against transgressing into a society of cultural Marxism pushed by the left, rejected a politically correct narrative, and elected Donald J Trump to be the 45th President of the United States.

Their aim is to plead with members of the US Electoral College to change their vote. They argue that “Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump ‘won’ is because of the Electoral College.”

However, that’s not how democracy works. In the 2000 election when Al Gore won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College vote to Republican George W. Bush, the results did not change, and Gore was not elected President. It didn’t work that way then, and it won’t work this way now.

Donald Trump won the election fair and square. 290 electoral votes for Trump, 228 for Clinton. While the petition cites that Clinton won the popular votes, it is important to note that she only won it by about 0.1 percent. With 46.9% of Americans not even voting.

But this doesn’t stop passionate Clinton supporters from trying to override the democratic system, as is evident from the fact that this petition has over 3.5 million, from the goal of 4.5 million, signatures.

The Electoral College is part of the Constitution and it is composed of 538 members. Each state, and the District of Columbia, has one member for every senator or House lawmaker. The members don’t formally cast their votes until December 19, and because of this, Clinton supporters are making a last ditch attempt to try and steal the presidency from Trump. By trying to get electorates to vote against the nominee who gained the most votes in their state.

The creator of this petition, Elijah Berg, says that not all states require their electorate to vote for the Presidential candidate who won the most votes in that state. Regarding the states that do have this requirement, they argue that “Even in states where that is not allowed, their vote would still be counted, they would simply pay a small fine – which we can be sure Clinton supporters will be glad to pay!”

I’m not sure what this person’s idea of a “small fine” is, but the fine which an electorate would have to pay if they vote against their state regulations is between $500-$3000.

The creator also states that “The Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?” But by blatantly stating that undemocratic means should be used to ensure a “democratic result” you bypass and go against the very foundations of a fair democracy.

This petition is highly unlikely to change the results of this presidential election. Trump won by a clear lead in electoral votes, and 37 electorates would have to vote against Trump to make him lose the majority, which just isn’t going to happen. And perhaps most importantly, Hillary Clinton has conceded the election and has acknowledged Donald Trump as the winner. So rest assure, the wicked witch of the west will almost certainly not be put in power.

Following Donald Trump’s win early Wednesday, angry anti-Trump protesters took to the streets across the nation, engaging in physical violence, starting fires and smashing cars.

The victim in the shooting, who police have not identified, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was shot on the Morrison Bridge during the fourth round of Anti-Trump Protest in Portland.

The protest began early Friday morning, before coming to a violent and ferocious end early Saturday morning when the man was shot. Protesters had marched throughout the city during the night, where police, prepared in suitable riot gear, resulted to using tear gas and flash-bang grenades to clear areas during conflict. In this video taken after the incident, police ask for witnesses with any information about the event, that could lead to identifying and arresting the perpetrator.

Shawna Hall, a local resident who witnessed the events leading up to, and the shooting itself, stated to police that there was confrontation between protesters and vehicle occupants. The gunman exited the car, walking to the bridge, while another passenger lead the gunman back into the car. After traveling again for a short while over the bridge, the vehicle was said to have been halted again by yelling protesters disrupting the passengers.

Hall said all the car’s occupants subsequently left the vehicle and had a verbal exchange with the protesters, before one passenger, who wasn’t the gunman, engaged in a small physical confrontation. She said that during this time the gunman shot multiple times in the air, and then shot the victim. As six—what we presume to be gunshot sounds—can be heard in this video. Another demonstrator has said that the victim was shot in the leg.

The police have reiterated and confirmed this information, stating that they believe the incidents to have taken place in the same way that the witnesses have recalled. Luckily, a protest medic was quickly on the scene to tend to the man, while others tried to keep protesters from nearing. Police arrived swiftly to clear the bridge, consequently setting off a flash-bang grenade.

Police have described the shooter as being 5-foot-8 and in his late teens. They said he had a thin build and was wearing a dark hoodie with blue jeans. Police have stated he fled the scene, most probably in a gray or silver sedan, following the incident.

On Wednesday, a Fox News report revealed two sources with “intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations” had stated, that the probe of the Clinton Foundation would continue to be ongoing after the election. However it is not certain as to whether this will result in an indictment yet. Fox News redacted the earlier claim stating that this would indeed lead to an indictment. These sources also told Fox News anchor, Bret Baier, that this investigation was being treated as ‘very high priority’, with ‘a lot of’ evidence having been gathered, even before the Wikileaks revelations, which have revealed the absolute highest levels of corruption from within the Clinton Campaign.

These sources also stated that they’re “looking into possible pay-for-play interaction between secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, and the foundation” and that this investigation has been “going on for more than a year.” The FBI have interviewed individuals who are suspected to be linked with this activity.

In an article published by the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, it was stated that:

“Secret recordings of a suspect talking about the Clinton Foundation fueled an internal battle between FBI agents who wanted to pursue the case and corruption prosecutors who viewed the statements as worthless hearsay, people familiar with the matter said.”

We are uncertain as to what these recordings entail, but it’s evident that their contents must be of substantial importance, as it was concerning enough to contribute to the reopening of the Clinton Foundation investigation.

Meanwhile, The FBI have also discovered new, not duplicated, emails that they believe to have come from Hillary’s server. However, it is currently unknown as to whether they contain classified information. These emails were discovered whilst combing through former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner’s laptop—after a sexting scandal involving a 15-year-old girl.

With an “avalanche of new information coming every day,” this investigation will have wide-reaching implications for the Clinton Foundation. Appearing more intensive and expansive than we ever could have imagined. The reopening of the investigation into the Clinton Foundation has also show Trump to have gained support in the polls, appearing almost even with Clinton in most polls, while the L.A Times shows Trump to have a 4 per cent lead.

Despite attempts on behalf of Department of Justice officials to shut this investigation down, a report from the Wall Street Journal states FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe refused to close the case, calling it a “validly predicated investigation” while discussing this with other DOJ officials. The FBI investigation into the Clinton campaign is now running parallel to the reopened criminal investigation into Hillary’s private email server, which she created violating State Department regulations.

With an onslaught of evidence confirming the Clinton campaign’s deceit and rampant corruption, it is highly unlikely that they’ll come out of this ordeal unscathed. If she were to be elected, there are a large number of possible charges Hillary could be facing whilst in the White House. Including perjury, obstruction of justice, bribery, pay-for-play, and undoubtedly many more.

Earlier today, in a morbid turn of events, batch 30 of the Wikileaks Podesta emails revealed the sadistic past times of the Podesta brothers, having been invited to a ‘Spirit Cooking’ dinner with performance artist Marina Abramovic. The grotesque nature of Clinton’s inner circle really is the gift that keeps on giving. From raunchy sexting to ritual sacrifice, this election cycle has divulged the darkest, more abhorrent secrets held by this crooked campaign. If there is any justice left in the world, it is morally essential that Hillary Clinton and her mob go down, to prison, as well as hell.

Before Hillary Clinton announced her run for president, an email sent on March 14th, 2014, by campaign manager Robert Mook to Clinton campaign chairman Podesta asks whether Podesta has discussed Hillary’s “taxes and health.” The email states that he acknowledges they’re both “hyper sensitive” issues, wondering whether “both are better dealt with very early so we control them–rather than responding to calls for transparency.”

In this thread, Mook stated “Yes. We need to kill that baby in the cradle.” (Which perfectly articulates how sadistic the Clinton campaign and agenda is within a single metaphor.)

A later email thread from July 31, 2015, shows Dan Schwerin, Clinton’s director of speech writing, aiming to roll out Hillary’s tax records along with a letter from her physician stating that she is “in excellent health,” and that following this “We expect the stories that pop at 2 pm to have headlines such as “CLINTON IN ‘EXCELLENT HEALTH,’ MEDICAL RECORDS SAY” … “CLINTON RELEASES HEALTH REPORT” … “CLINTON CAMP AIMS TO ONE-UP BUSH IN DISCLOSING FINANCES”

The emails expose the Clinton campaign’s attempts to suppress any further inquiry into these health problems and control the narrative, and provide them with “the best possible, ‘fighting’ chance of promoting the most helpful story lines.”

Also stating that “the first stories on health won’t pop until 2. 1 pm is just when we will quietly approach the reporters,” the Clinton camp is exposed in the way in which the mainstream media has held complete bias in favor of a Clinton presidency. This has also been revealed through all the recent Podesta email Wikileaks releases. Just one example being an email sent April 30, 2015, by Politico reporter Glenn Thrush, who even called himself a “hack” when asking Hillary’s top campaign aide, John Podesta, to check over sections of his report regarding the Democratic presidential candidate before publication.

Startlingly, an email exchange between Hillary’s campaign leaders, Tanden and Podesta, even questions if she is aware that we are living on planet Earth. Telling an audience in Ohio that she was “moderate and center” after previously stating just a few days prior that she was “progressive”, Tanden asks, “Why did she call herself a moderate?”

Podesta replied “I pushed her on this on Sunday night. She claims she didn’t remember saying it. Not sure I believe her.”

In response, Tanden stated, “I mean it makes my life more difficult after telling every reporter I know she’s actually progressive but that is really the smallest of issues. It worries me more that she doesn’t seem to know what planet we are all living in at the moment.”

It can be speculated as to what this statement is referring to, but it is evident that this proves Hillary’s lack of awareness and mental stability. Perhaps regarding her inability to hold a firm political position, or even more worryingly, her inability to retain even the most basic and fundamental information, due to a medical condition that she is suffering from. Giving credibility to the latter possibility, Hillary’s top aide Huma Abedin admits that the former Secretary of State is “still not perfect in her head,”  in a  newly revealed Wikileaks email on Tuesday.

Countless incidents capturing Hillary’s poor health and unstable mental state have been brought to light, despite the Clinton campaign and mainstream media’s attempted censoring of this content in the hope that portraying a false narrative regarding these episodes will stray attention away from this issue. For example, after Hillary’s recent fall at a 9/11 memorial event filmed by a bystander, the Clinton campaign tried to cover up by claiming this was due to “pneumonia and dehydration” even though Clinton does not appear limp, as though she has fainted. In contrast, she appears ridged and shaky throughout this episode, as Secret Service agents lift her into the vehicle. However, Hillary’s constant tumbles do not surprise me, as the gravitational force pulling this Democratic nominee towards underworld must be so incredibly strong.

This along with many other recently recorded accounts of Hillary’s severe coughing fits, dangerous falls, recurring eye problems, and the spitting up of a vile yellow substance, have undoubtedly shown that this presidential candidate is scarcely physically fit to perform duties as president. Hillary’s mental state is also a major point of concern, which top aides, Podesta and Abedin, have confirmed through the Wikileaks emails stated in this article.

If Hillary blatantly appears unable to function healthily during her time running for president, we can only expect these issues to increase in severity if she were to take on the stressful position of president.

The Education System is fundamentally supposed to allow individuals to broaden their horizons across many different topics, Philosophy, History, Culture, and explore a range of views. But the reality I’m observing is very different.

There’s a systemic disease that is rapidly spreading across schooling institutions, it is the indoctrination of students being fed a certain narrative by their professors. This indoctrination is not blatant, it’s the kind that is constantly underlying, subconscious and poisonous.

Educational establishments should be a space for open intellectual debate, where students are encouraged to express a variety of opinions without the fear of being punished or even vilified because that view might not conform to a widely assumed narrative. However, debate within institutions has become largely narrowed to a strict, politically correct path. Devoid of the diversity of opinion. Bound by the confines of a certain sphere of acceptable thought.

What I am witnessing is that when addressing topics, relating to modern society and issues, that are occurring currently, particular opinions are being cherry picked by teachers and relayed to students, without exploring opposing views. In the worst cases, this belief is even presented as fact. This opinion is then locked, becoming ingrained in the individual’s thought from a young age. Since the majority of students wouldn’t afterwards research the topic to discover other opinions, they’re left in the ignorance of one professor’s view. I’ve witnessed the appraisal of students who conform to, and echo a professor’s opinion, while my own has been quickly disregarded and moved on from as it did not fit within their realm of appropriate speech. The notion that students may be condemned by professors or their peers for simply holding a different belief is incredibly detrimental to culture within our society. An InfoWars article addressing this topic stated very accurately that, “Instead of learning how to think, our children are continually being told what to think.”

And it’s not only the indoctrination of students within academia that is troubling, it’s also the systematic approach to the education system as a whole. Students are being consistently taught to obey authority, and to practice conformity. With schools constantly monitoring the behavior and performance of students, this blatant type of surveillance is becoming very widely regarded as standard procedure. For many, the experience of consistent observation will translate into life outside establishments of education. They will grow up with the mentality that having their privacy and freedom infringed upon is normal practice. Most not even aware that this is a violation of their rights, or not seeing it as an issue. They will learn to respect an authority of corrupt elites, without the mindset to question their power. However simply accepting their position and conforming to be ruled. Numbed to their destructive effects. Unknowingly serving the maintenance of a tyrannical system. Where the realization of ones own ability to challenge or resist this coercion is nullified.

To be clear, I’m not encouraging students to disrupt or distract others from learning, but I am encouraging individuals to express their right to free speech. Tactfully push the boundaries and step beyond a narrative if you do not agree, and fight against political correctness. Free expression is being put on a leash, individuals are experiencing that the only way to succeed and progress within these systems is to keep your head down, agree with the majority, don’t offend anyone, and stay in line. This is a destructive mentality to force upon the younger generation.

The Rise of SJW’s

The rise of Social Justice Warriors (SJW’s) infesting educational establishments is also a factor contributing to controlling the narrative regarding current society. A creation of the regressive left, Social Justice Warriors are those who have bought so heavily into the notion of political correctness that they’ll desperately attempt to oppress the views of anyone who disagrees with their own. They’re attempting to bring our fundamental right to free speech crumbling to ashes, and amongst the wreckage we’re perceiving the uprising of a radicalized modern culture, with an obsessive mentality for restraining contrast in thought. Social Justice Warriors fighting for a frail, sugar coated version of reality are the very definition of cancerous. Safe spaces and trigger warnings need to be surgically removed from our society. The social justice movement is completely baseless in fact or knowledge, relying on platitudinous claims to forward their ideology.

So I urge you, fight back against crazed Social Justice Warriors and indoctrination of the education system. Think freely for yourself. And above all, don’t conform to be subdued into a state of numbness. Whereby diversity in thought is no longer possible. Stand above this, and resist the creation of a truly Orwellian state.
