(UK MIRROR) — A close aide of Kim Jong-Un has warned ‘reckless’ Donald Trump that North Korea will ‘annihilate the U.S with our style of nuclear strike warfare’.

The threat came as the country’s leader watched on as the country’s military put on a huge display of strength in Pyongyang.

The despot leader, 33, applauded alongside military leaders as thousands of troops and tanks filled the streets of the capital on Saturday morning.

At the ceremony, Choe Ryong Hae, addressed the packed square with a characteristically bellicose warning to the United States.

“If the United States wages reckless provocation against us, our revolutionary power will instantly counter with annihilating strike, and we will respond to full-out war with full-out war and to nuclear war with our style of nuclear strike warfare,” he said.

North Korea has vowed to retaliate in a “merciless manner as not to allow the aggressors to survive” against the US and its allies if Washington chose to attack.

North Korea’s official Rodong Sinmun newspaper said the rogue state was prepared to respond to any aggression by the United States.

“Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theater but also in the U.S. mainland,” it said.

Responding to the United States’ recent airstrikes on a Syrian airfield, the newspaper also said: “The DPRK will increase in every way its military capability for self-defence to cope with the U.S. evermore reckless moves for a war and will defend itself with its own force.”

The Pyongyang Times also published similar rhetoric quoting a DPRK delegate, who declared on April 3 at the 2017 Meeting of the United Nations Disarmament Commission, that “instability and risks of nuclear war are growing worldwide as the US is recklessly building up its nuclear forces and other nuclear weapons states are following suit not to be outdone.”

“It is thanks to the DPRK commitment to peace and its tremendous nuclear deterrent for self-defence that peace has been preserved on the Korean peninsula despite the US’ nuclear war moves.

“As long as the US and its vassal forces persistently pose nuclear threat and blackmail and continue the nuclear war games masked as annual ones at the doorstep of the DPRK, the DPRK will as ever bolster up its capabilities for self-defence and preemptive attack with the nuclear force as the pivot,” he said.

Meanwhile, KCNA, another North Korean news agency declared: “The U.S.-South Korea joint military exercises may bring the Korean peninsula and its vicinity to nuclear holocaust.”

“The world progressives are well aware that the annual U.S.-South Korean joint military exercises are aimed to mount a preemptive attack and stifle the DPRK,” it claimed.

Two U.S. warships in the Mediterranean Sea fired approximately 60 Tomahawk missiles intended for a single target — Ash Sha’irat in Homs province in western Syria which is reportedly the airfield from which the United States claims the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fired the banned weapons.

There was no immediate word on casualties, however U.S. officials informed NBC News that people were not targeted and that aircraft and infrastructure at the site, including the runway, were hit.

Russia Previously Warned Against An Attack On Syria

Russian deputy U.N. envoy, Vladimir Safronkovhav previously warned about the dire consequences of a U.S. attack on Syria. According to Yahoo News, he was reported to say:

“We have to think about negative consequences, negative consequences, and all the responsibility if military action occurred will be on shoulders of those who initiated such doubtful and tragic enterprise,”

As reported, when asked about what the consequences would be, he said “Look at Iraq, look at Libya.”

President Trump’s Statement

President Trump spoke to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida following the attack. Here’s his full statement:

“My fellow Americans,

On Tuesday, Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad launched a horrible chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians using a deadly nerve agent.

Assad choked out the lives of innocent men, women and children. It was a slow and brutal death for so many. Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered in this very barbaric attack.

No child of god should ever suffer such horror.

Tonight I ordered a targeted military strike on the airfield in Syriafrom where the chemical attack was launched.

It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons.

There can be no dispute that Syria used banned chemical weapons, violated its obligations under the chemical weapons convention, and ignored the urging of the UN security council.

Years of previous attempts at changing Assad’s behaviour have all failed and failed very dramatically.

As a result the refugee crisis continues to deepen and the region continues to destabilise, threatening the United States and its allies.

Tonight I call on all civilised nations to join us in seeking to end the slaughter and bloodshed in Syria, and also to end terrorism of all kinds and all types.

We ask for god’s wisdom as we face the challenge of our very troubled world.

We pray for the lives of the wounded and for the souls of those who have passed.

And we hope that as long as America stands for justice that peace and harmony will in the end prevail.

U.S. Officials Respond

U.S. Pentagon official, Captain Jeff Davis, said the following after the U.S. airstrikes in Syria:

“Russian forces were notified in advance of the strike using the established deconfliction line. US military planners took precautions to minimise risk to Russian or Syrian personnel located at the airfield.

We are assessing the results of the strike. Initial indications are that this strike has severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment at Shayrat airfield, reducing the Syrian government’s ability to deliver chemical weapons.

The use of chemical weapons against innocent people will not be tolerated.”

The Pentagon itself has also apparently responded:

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul issued a statement on Twitter shortly after the attacks pointing out that Trump’s military action was essentially pointless and unconstitutional:

“While we all condemn the atrocities in Syria, the United States was not attacked. The President needs Congressional authorization for military action as required by the Constitution. Our prior interventions in this region have done nothing to make us safer and Syria will be no different”

Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham released also released the following statement after the airstrikes:

“We salute the skill and professionalism of the U.S. Armed Forces who carried out tonight’s strikes in Syria. Acting on the orders of the commander-in-chief, they have sent an important message the United States will no longer stand idly by as Assad, aided and abetted by Putin’s Russia, slaughters innocent Syrians with chemical weapons and barrel bombs.

Unlike the previous administration, President Trump confronted a pivotal moment in Syria and took action. For that, he deserves the support of the American people. Building on tonight’s credible first step, we must finally learn the lessons of history and ensure that tactical success leads to strategic process. That means following through with a new, comprehensive strategy in coordination with our allies and partners to end the conflict in Syria. The first measure in such a strategy must be to take Assad’s air force – which is responsible not just for the latest chemical weapons attack, but countless atrocities against the Syrian people – completely out of the fight. We must also bolster support for the vetted Syrian opposition and establish safe zones to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis. As we do, we can and must continue the campaign to achieve ISIS’ lasting defeat.”

Second, according to BBC’s North American reporter, Jon Sopel, US military action against Assad could be “imminent”

“This morning I was a passenger in a car to Orlando when were T-boned from the right side,” Stone said in the video released on the Stone Cold Truth Facebook page Wednesday

“I was in the right passenger seat and the car coming from the right hit directly where I was sitting.”

Stone said the vehicle was a late model 4-door sedan gray matte Ford with a “deeply tinted” windshield, which made it impossible to see how many people were inside and who they were.

The vehicle allegedly backed up and went “peeling away” according to Stone. He said he suffered minor injuries, including blurred vision to his right eye.

A woman who witnessed the incident took down the tag number of the vehicle, which was then given to the Broward Sheriff’s Office who ran the license plate snd determined that it was fake.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was a hit-and-run accident at the time and location described by Stone which was at 10:45 am in Pompano Beach at NW 7th Avenue and 1st Street, according to the incident report obtained by CBS4 News.

The report states that a deputy was not dispatched to the accident until 11:56 a.m. – more than 70 minutes after the crash. The deputy arrived on the scene at 11:59 a.m.

The report makes no mention of Stone being a passenger in the vehicle, however according to CBS Miami, Stone left the scene when it became clear that a deputy was not being dispatched right away. He apparently waited for half an hour before calling a Uber to take him home while his aide – the driver – stayed behind to await the arrival of the deputy.

Stone was able to back up this claim by showing a copy of his Uber receipt to CBS reporters. Witnesses also state Stone was seen at the site of the crash and the driver confirmed Stone was a passenger but due to being in shock, doesn’t recall mentioning it to the deputy at the time.

As of this writing, no one has been arrested, and a criminal inquiry may or may not be conducted.

This is not the first time Stone has experience a potential attempt on his life as in January, he claimed to have been nearly assassinated with Polonium-210.

Roger Stone should release the police report or medical records to prove his claims.

The incident comes as Senator John McCain calls for Stone to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding his alleged collusion with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election.

Stone released a video on Instagram mocking Mccain yesterday dressed as late suspected murdered journalist Hunter S. Thompson stating “that he would be compelled to testify in front of the U.S. Senate.”

“Hi I’m Roger Stone. Sen. John McCain says I should  be compelled to testify in front of the U.S. Senate about quote, ‘my ties to Russians or Yanukovych.’ I assume he means former Ukrainian President Yanukovych. He is acting more like Sen. Joe McCarthy than Sen. John McCain. Because I have ties to neither Russians or the Russian state or Viktor Yanukovych in any way. I’m anxious to have these hearings. I’m ready to be sworn and I insist that the hearings be held in public. See you there, Johnny Mac,” Stone said.

Thomspon died of a gunshot wound to the head in suspicious circumstances.

Shortly before Thompson’s death, he told his Canadian friend that he feared he would be “suicided” just as Michael Hastings told his friend while in the middle of an investigation before his untimely demise. Similarly, journalist Danny Cassolaro, who was murdered for his investigation into what he called the “shadow government octopus,” warned his brother that he might be murdered. He was later found in his bathtub in a pool of blood with both of his wrist slit ten times.

More recently, there was the murder of Serena Shim, a journalist who exposed ISIS trade in United Nations NGO trucks in Turkey. Shim was suspiciously killed in a car accident with a cement truck driving on the wrong side of the road.

The strange deaths of journalists and insiders continues, and if you Google “suspicious deaths of journalists,” you’ll open a whole pandora’s box.

Like Thomspon, Hastings, Cassolaro, Shim and many others, Stone is touching on some serious hard-hitting subjects and when people are connected as well as he is, it’s hard to just write-off a journalist as committing suicide. It has happened to too many people and therefore, it is no longer a believable narrative.

Stone has previously written books on both the corruption of the Bushes and the Clintons calling them a “mafia crime family.”

If this was an assassination attempt, it’s a dumb move by whoever might want Stone dead by trying to make a potential second attempt on his life.

According to the whistleblower, everyone’s conversations are monitored and stored by intelligence agencies such as the NSA.

Binney resigned from the NSA following the tragic events of 9/11 and “became a whistleblower after discovering that elements of a data-monitoring program he had helped develop — nicknamed ThinThread — were being used to spy on Americans,” PBS reported.

Khateeb was scheduled to arrive Saturday in Los Angeles on a Turkish Airlines flight departing from Istanbul. But his plans have been upended after U.S. officials reported finding “derogatory information” regarding Khateeb.

Derogatory information is a broad category that can include anything from terror connections to passport irregularities. Asked for comment, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, Gillian Christensen, said, “A valid travel document is required for travel to the United States.”

In an official statement released by the White Helmets on Saturday, the organisation made out the situation as being the fault of the Syrian “regime” yet earlier contradictorily claimed that “we won’t be at the OSCARS due to intensity of work” and that “our priority continues to be helping civilians & rescue operations in #Syria.”

“The Syria Civil Defense will not be attending the Oscars in Los Angeles,” the statement read.

“Raed Saleh, Head of the Syria Civil Defense is the holder of US visa. Raed was planning to attend but can not make it, the intense air strikes across the country mean he must focus on work inside Syria.

“Khaled Khatib, a Syria Civil Defence volunteer and cameraman on the film, was due to attend. Unfortunately Khaled Khatib was not able to travel to the Oscars due to his passport being cancelled by the Syrian regime, despite having been issued a US visa specifically to attend the awards ceremony.

“The Syria Civil Defence are grateful for the platform the film ‘The White Helmets’ is providing for their humanitarian message to reach around the world.

“The Syria Civil Defence wants to thank all the people around the world that have sent messages of support for their Oscar nomination.”

The 40-minute long Netflix documentary, which is now being turned into a feature-length film by George Clooney, portrays the White Helmets known as ‘The Syrian Civil Defense’ dramatically rescuing 60,000 people from bombed-out buildings in war-torn Syria.

However, as independent Middle East-based journalists such as Eva Bartlett and Vanessa Beeley have found through extensive investigations and on-the-ground reporting, the White Helmets “civil defense organisation” is nothing less than a terrorist-supporting, US and British-backed group of imposters, who, as Bartlett said are “white helmets by day and terrorists by night.”

Interestingly, a major shareholder in Netflix just so happens to be the Capital Research Global Investors who host a number of luminaries of the military industrial complex on its books including Lockheed Martin and Boeing. In 2015, George Soros, the infamous billionaire globalist hedge-fund manager, bought up 317,534 shares in Netflix reported to be worth $32.79 million.  In 2016, Soros curiously dissolved those shares.

It is alleged that the White Helmets group has been handed $60 million from US AID, the UK Foreign Office and various EU nations such as the Netherlands to be the PR front for Western-backed propaganda about the Syrian conflict.

Despite the fact that they were created and are still generously funded by NATO members states, particularly the US and UK, the White Helmets’ official statement still deceitfully claims that they are somehow “fiercely independent” and “have accepted no money from governments, corporations or anyone directly involved in the Syrian conflict.”

Despite the fact that they are a NATO construct embedded with Al-Nusra front, ISIS (a US-created terror group) and affiliated with the majority of US-backed terrorist brigades infiltrating Syria, the group claims to hold the ground of neutrality by deceitfully declaring they are not “tied to any political group in Syria, or anywhere else”

Beeley comments regarding the below video:

“The following video is a compilation of the testimony from Syrian civilians released from a five-year incarceration in East Aleppo, under a terrorist regime and occupation led by Al-Qaeda factions (aka Nusra Front and assorted extremist militant brigades), also funded by the US, NATO and Gulf states. These testimonies attest to the US and UK construct, the White Helmets, being nothing more than ‘Nusra Front’s civil defense’.”

“The Syrian Arab Red Crescent also told 21WIRE editor, Vanessa Beeley, that they had never seen the White Helmets conducting humanitarian work in East Aleppo, either during or after occupation by the extremist groups.”

In late 2016, the White Helmets produced a staged ‘mannequin challenge’ propaganda video promoting their ‘rescue work’, which after backfiring massively was quickly deleted from the group’s YouTube account and all references promptly removed from Twitter. The footage sparked questions as to the legitimacy of the group’s other regularly posted videos which are deemed to also be staged for the purposes of propaganda promotion.

The video portrays ‘victims’ and ‘rescuers’ posing motionless for several seconds before the fake rescue operation begins immediately followed by the agonized screams of an ‘injured’ actor.

“Are we finally seeing vindication of the two years of independent investigation into this terrorist-supporting group of frauds, whose creators have milked the general public with a myriad of glossy, expensive marketing campaigns, designed to appeal to our better nature and to implicate the general public in crowd funding for terrorism inside Syria?” asks Beeley.

“Perhaps this Oscar bid for the White Helmets is an indication of the level to which the ruling elite have stooped to maintain their facade, which has been eroded so successfully by the few brave people who have taken a stand against their global machinations, such as Tulsi Gabbard and Carla Ortiz, both of whom potentially risk their careers to present the truth of what is actually happening inside Syria.

“Has the steadfast bravery, courage and resistance of the Syrian people, the majority of whom are fully supportive of the Syrian state and the Syrian Arab Army, finally demolished the wall of lies that has prevented their voices being heard?

According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the shooting was reported around 2 p.m. at the corner of Ivar Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. The Los Angeles Times has said that at least three people have been injured so far according to information from the LAPD.

LAPD Officer Sal Ramirez confirmed the suspect reportedly entered the Jack in the Box restaurant on the corner and started stabbing people inside.

Officers responding to the scene confronted the suspect inside the restaurant, “at which time an (officer-involved shooting) occurred,” Ramirez said. “The suspect went down and was taken into custody.”

LAPD Sgt. Frank Preciado confirmed later from the crime scene that the suspect had died.

At least two stabbing victims were transported to local hospitals, Ramirez said, adding that the investigation was ongoing.

The area, which is often full of tourists, employees from nearby businesses and patrons of the Arclight Theater, was blocked off by police and emergency vehicles.

A documentary producer, a photojournalist, a live-streamer, and a freelance reporter were each charged with the most serious level of offense under Washington DC’s law against rioting, after being caught up in the police action against Trump protestors.

All six were arraigned in superior court on Saturday and released to await further hearings in February and March, according to court filings. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) said late on Tuesday that charges against journalists who were covering the protests should be dropped.

These charges mean that the six media personnel face up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted.

Also arrested while covering the demonstrations at 12th and L streets and later charged were Shay Horse, an independent photojournalist and activist, and Aaron Cantú, a freelance journalist and activist, who has written for outlets including the Baffler, the Washington Spectator, and the New Inquiry. Both deny wrongdoing.

In all, more than 200 people were arrested on Friday, after property was vandalized in the US capital in the hours around Trump’s swearing-in as president. Police said that six officers suffered minor injuries.

The indiscriminate arrests of anybody who happened to be in areas where protests were occurring is a direct threat of the First Amendment and is very concerning to many, especially those involved in the independent media industry. It should be noted that most of the journalists arrested were freelancers.

This news is a welcome relief to the broader whistleblower community across the globe who have petitioned Obama to grant Manning clemency.

Not less than 72 hours ago, the hashtag #HugsForChelsea was going viral as thousands across the country offered their support for her release.

NBC News reported last week that Manning was on Obama’s ‘short list’ for commutation.

At least 11 people died when explosives packed inside a sofa detonated inside the governor’s compound in southern Kandahar during a visit by the UAE ambassador to Afghanistan, who reportedly escaped the attack with injuries.

Just two hours prior, the town of Kabul was rocked by two terrorist attacks which killed at least 30 and wounded 80 others.

According to the official who spoke to AFP, the majority of those killed in the Kabul attacks were civilians, including parliamentary employees who were leaving the parliament complex as the attack took place during rush hour.

Taliban insurgents were quick to claim responsibility for the bombings.

An injured parliament security guard named  Zabi told AFP: “The first explosion happened outside the parliament… a number of innocent workers were killed and wounded. It was caused by a suicide bomber on foot.”

“The second one was a car bomb. It was parked on the other side of the road and flung me back when it detonated,” he said.

Describing the car bomb, the guard said: “It was parked on the other side of the road and flung me back when it detonated.”

The group claimed that the predominantly Shi’ite Muslim militias, known collectively as the “Hashid Shaabi,” were using weapons from Iraqi military stockpiles – supplied by U.S., European and Middle East backers to commit war crimes including kidnappings, torture and assassinations.

The Iraqi Parliament voted for the Hashid to formally become part of the nation’s armed forces in November last year, however the session was boycotted by Sunni Muslim representatives, who worry the move will entrench Shi’ite majority rule as well as Iran’s regional influence. The move consequently did not go ahead.

In recent time, Iraqi and Western officials have expressed their concerns over the Iraqi government’s ability to reign in on the violent Shi’ite militias.

However, Hashid Shaabi has dismissed Amnesty’s findings as “lies”.

“These lies falsify truths and contribute directly or indirectly to the continuation of struggles that the Iraqi people and the people of neighbouring countries suffer from,” Hashid spokesman Ahmed al-Assadi said.

“This is very clear in this report when it is purposefully slandering an official government institution,” he added, calling for an inquiry into Amnesty’s sources.

They militia group even brags that they saved the nation by pushing ISIS back from Baghdad’s borders after the army crumbled before the jihadists’ lightning advance in 2014.

Amnesty researcher Patrick Wilcken warned that international arms suppliers including the USA, European countries, Russia and Iran “must wake up to the fact that all arms transfers to Iraq carry a real risk of ending up in the hands of militia groups with long histories of human rights violations.

The rights organisation cited nearly two and a half years of its independently conducted field research, including interviews with dozens of former detainees, witnesses, survivors, and relatives of those killed, detained or missing as a result of war crimes.

Their report focused on four powerful militia groups, most of which are backed by Iran: the Badr Organisation, Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Kataib Hezbollah and Saraya al-Salam.
